  1. Watford. I think that's just answered 6.3? We make some team. We're just too good, too damn good

  3. 6.3 looks like Play-off winners but i cannot recall who won it the season before Derby
  4. I don't agree. A few years of league positions considered to be not good enough, resulting in the managerial changes for that very reason ie the aim was to do better and the backup being in place, does not equal decline. It can be put back on course again. However, a change in policies, ambitions, resulting in big revenue losses, unhappy players, an acceptance of not qualifying for top league placings or europe by supporters, and a stated aim by the club that they will be happy to finish 10th, is most definitely a club in decline. The club will be relegated Stevie, its just a matter of time, just like the days of McKeag etc. Whenever we were promoted, the only question was how long would we stay there ? Getting rid of a world wide proven legend (albeit I thought getting someone younger in could be a good thing at the time but the right bloke), and replacing him with a failed, paranoid, bigoted, vengeful, unsociable cunt like Souness is almost unforgivable. I like Shepherd, I thought he was a class chairman up to August 2004. He spent next to nowt apart from the summer of 2001, between 2000 and 2004. What annoyed me with Shepherd is how much he vilified Robson for wasting £8.5m on Viana and the likes of Gavilan, when he found little gems for us too. That one decision employing Graeme Souness letting him have £50m to spend, put the club in decline, it doesn't matter what way you look at it, it's an undeniable fact. The be all and end all of a club going forward or declining in my eyes, is the squad and what goes on on the pitch. Souness turned our assets in to absolute shite. Bellamy would've been worth £10m+ if he was happy without any problems etc.. Souness treatment of him and the stigma that followed him halfed his value, and there were loads of examples like that. A happy Robert would've had 3 more years here, things could've been different for Bernard. Shepherd employed Souness, Souness fucked the club up, so responsibility for that has to lie at Shepherd's feet. It was his only major mistake as chairman, and ultimately cost him everything. Prime minister's ruin nations, and managers ruin football clubs. Because of Shepherd's mistake in the space of 2 years we went from looking at Kluivert (international pedigree) in 2004 to looking at Sibierski in 2006, that is a decline off the pitch and it stems from the decision to employ Souness because all of the cash we had without borrowing was gone because of Souness' idiotic signings and dealings with what we had originally. There isn't one logical view to contradict that imo. You know I'm not anti-FFS never will be, but without any doubt the club were in decline from Robson leaving, to the point we had to get the likes of Martin's on the provvy, instead of generating our own transfer income which is what FFS had skillfully done for 7 years from 97 to 2004. Absolutely spot on, to say we werent in decline in the later years of Shepherd's reign is sheer ignorance. No doubt Ashley needs to bare the brunt of the blame, but to totally lay the blame at his door is wrong, yes Ashley fucked the club up royally, but we were in no means the club we were under Bobby Robson and to use the Uefa cup qualification in the last year or so of shepherds reign and use at as a shining beacon of light that all was well with us is wrong too.
  5. The club were already on a slide downwards coming towards the end of Shephards reign, it's just when Ashley took over that slide got steeper Yes we finished 7th the season or so before Ashley took charge, but that was due to a late surge in form come the end of the season, it was a positive blip and not a sign that we were at the height of our powers and we were going to do it for the coming seasons
  6. I agree with everything about this post, Jarvis i'd love to see playing for us, he's a no nonsense winger who just runs at defenders and crosses the ball at the first oppurtunity he gets, he is a massive danger to us on Saturday as from whenever ive seen Simpson come up against anyone with pace he's struggled massively
  7. If the club had any plans to move the singing section or help to move it elsewhere and the fans that sit there, it would have been stated when they first brought out the proposal of abolishing the singing corner, weve got to realise that the club isn't going to help those fans move and try to help organise a mass move, it's going to be down to the fans to try and sort the move and not anything to do with the club
  8. I see Niko Kranjcar's hinted he wants to leave Tottenham, he's player i'd quite like to see here, he can play anywhere across the midfield and is only 26, so he's a decent age to get, i know he probably will be a bit pricey and might fancy a few other clubs on top of us, but i think he'd be a good player for us
  9. If he comes out and says "aye that £35m will all be invested in transfer fees", how much do you think we'll be quoted when enquiring for a player? Do you think all clubs will have not realised that we received £35 million from the Carroll transfer, were gona get extortionate fee's anyway now clubs know we have £35 million, but we all know when we spend we're not gonna have that amount in our transfer budget
  10. Exactly, thats what i'm getting at, they've created a problem when there wasn't one to start with, it's a pointless decision taking away the atmosphere, i was totally perplexed by the decision when i heard about it. But good luck in trying to get a new singing section, i aint got my hopes up but at least somethings trying to get done about it
  11. I don't like it how he's saying that the Carroll money will go straight back into the club, which basically means only a percentage is going to go on the transfer budget, what that percentage is anyones guess and then they'll try and spin some yarn when the transfer window is shut that the rest of the money is going on training and facilities and such, one this is guaranteed and that is it's gonna be a long summer for any toon fan
  12. If we don't get a win against Wolves we're in deep doody, cos I dont see us picking up points against Villa Away, Man U home and Liverpool away, a win is a must and I'm not confident we'll get one
  13. Quite the opposite. While I'm at the match, I back the lads through out. But what wont do is try to put a positive spin on a situation like ours. I'm a happy person in life but Im realistic enough not to see anything positive about our plight under ashley. We will not move forward with him in charge. When you accept that, your posts will be taken more seriously. The fact that you saw that radio interview with pardew as positive beggars belief. They shouldn't be at the match if that's their attitude then. Supporters should support the team vocally and encourage them like the old days. I don't get why they feel the need to implement the move though? Why do they need to change that section to an 18-21 year old section, it makes no sense, theres been no campaign or any word of this happening, so why bring it in? No one is pleased about it, so why do it and displace a couple thousand of fans who have season tickets up there for a bunch of 18 year old chavs to give it the big-un to away fans. The corner has been a plus point over the past couple year and this has just destroyed it, unfortunately i don't see us having another atmosphere like the 2nd half v Arsenal or when we played Sunderland and it's a massive shame
  14. If the club had any intention of moving the singing section anywhere else, they would have stated it when the said they were gonna disperse the Leazes corner. I wouldn't hold my breath that the club are working behind the scenes to try and resolve it, they'll leave it up to the fans to rearrange in clusters about where they are wanting to move too It's a shame cos its gonna take a massive amount of enjoyment not being in the singing section on matchdays
  15. If you ring the cooncil, and ask to speak a registrar about wedding costs and shizz they'll put you through and someone will go through all the costs and and what you can expect to happen, thats what we used to do a few weeks back
  16. Fucking hell, were gonna be a glorified fucking Wigan if that's a direct quote, you might aswell get used to not seeing Barton, Enrique, Tiote here in the summer, As basically were just gonna be a selling club! A sad state of affairs if i've ever seen one
  17. The cheeky bastard! After watching this video, if he's fit enough to dee that, he's fit enough to run Wolves defence ragged
  18. I think it was a trouble with SKY, was happening with my mate at dinnertimish where it wouldn't let him play online multiplayer but he was on a couple hours back and it was fine then
  19. I worked in a registrars not so long ago. Barack if you're reading this, and in deep shit, gis a bell.
  20. Pardew won't throw in Ireland alongside Nolan, both are attacking mid's and our midfield would get dominated by Wolves, I know Guthrie's a soft shyte but he'd do better DM than Ireland
  21. You made the thread for him to bite, which he hasn't, so you failed. End of. In the rap world, he's choked making this the complete opposite of a fail It's not the rap world. But in the real world, it is a fail, as you made this for him to bite back at you, which he hasn't, otherwise why would you make a thread about this topic?
  22. You made the thread for him to bite, which he hasn't, so you failed. End of.
  23. The most worrying part about it is other teams seem to be picking up points from everywhere but we don't, but looking on the plus side there's 6 teams splitting us from the bottom 3 and those teams shouldn't make up the points and goal difference on us over these coming 8 games, but this is Newcastle, and we never like to do things the easy way
  24. He's salivating mate, the pictures cut out a yarking plate of Yorkshire puddings and gravy, he's in dreamland, bless him
