  1. Why do we keep launching it straight to them? As I've mentioned, Best isn't winning any of the balls up to him.
  2. Spot on. At least Best has actually kept the ball for the first time now, but I'm firmly in the Obertan is crap camp right now
  3. They've been the better team. Best is having a stinker - keeps giving the ball away. We need to have a spell of possession here!
  4. We keep trying these long balls over the top. Just get it down on the floor and keep some possession man!
  5. I'm amazed at the amount of criticism Obertan is getting. He's got a lot of pace which has really helped give us momentum going forward this season and unsettle the opposition defence. He's also been our main outlet on the counter. As much as I don't think he's shown he's a top quality player this season, he's been an important part of the team. That said, i don't really feel that Marveaux couldn't come in and provide a similar role if given the opportunity. Question is, why would Pardew want to disrupt a winning formula? Can see Ben Arfa maybe coming against Wigan, do you think he could play in an inside forward kind of role on the right?
  6. I'd just like to echo what everyone's said about Ameobi. Yesterday he was at the very top of the game - and we've seen him do that before. But sadly we're just all too used to the completely different Shola who lumbers around, loses the ball easily, doesn't put in a good shift to win it back... As someone mentioned, Ameobi always tends to fade as the game goes on. Maybe he could be a decent player to bring on (certainly if he plays like that) for Best, who I still think has potential, even if at times his footballing intelligence falls woefully short - far too many times yesterday he was way off the wavelength of Cabaye and co. Best is always a goal threat and a good team player. With regards to Ben Arfa, he's going to add that extra bit of quality that the team needs. He'll be able to link up the play with the midfield and run from deep in support of Ba. Yesterday I thought he tried a bit too hard to show how good he was - the match was, after all, set up for him to be the hero. But he's clearly a player of immense quality and I'd love to see him and Santon given the opportunity to bed in against Wigan.
  7. It's been a fairly effective performance by Wolves - much booting the ball into the box and getting into wide areas for crosses and they've had a few chances out of it. Second half, though, we've been happy to soak up the pressure. Don't think we can complain if we see it out.
  8. Great saves! Dunno how we survived that but sloppy from Tiote
  9. Wolves are a bunch of rough fuckers aren't they?
  10. Wolves not been bad. Attacking us down the right for Raylor a lot.
  11. We're pretty canny on the counter aren't we?
  12. Technical difficulties on my Spanish feed...
  13. Wolves are playing like Brazil there early doors. Cannot last
  14. Leon Best's first touch really is rather special innit?
  15. If anyone has a decent river hit me up with it!
  16. Blackburn have offered very little - goal was fairly lucky and owed to the mistake of Raylor. We did a good job as the game progressed of controlling possession and need to see that again in the second half and nab a third. Ben Arfa and Marveaux on the bench, as has been said, look like very useful options on the bench.
  17. Thanks for the links, lads! Looks like first row is the only one unfortunately. Hopefully the Spanish one'll be back up if anyone can keep us updated
  18. Would also be greatly indebted to anyone who could provide a river!
  19. I think you make a good point. Might put Raylor to better use, though I can't really remember what his corners are like
