Cannot see why Chelsea would be interested in Simpson? He's hit his ceiling if you ask me, has too many weaknesses in his game to make it at the top and he's too slow. Perchinho has looked decent at RB the last couple of games. If we could get a few million for Simpson I'd imagine we could bring in a better full back from the continent to be honest.

Aye, he's missed a few one on ones since he got here but interestingly most of his goals for Freiburg were of that ilk apparently. I think that in order to compete in the domestic cups, Europe and the league, we need a much bigger squad and hopefully Ashley can see that. I don't mind if it's a few more Perches/Raylors/Guthries who Pardew can get playing. Those lads could do us proud at Valeregna or against Scunthorpe. So, yeah, I'd love to see us have a good cup run next season. I think if we can get two quality new defenders in (right back and centre back) we'll be sorted and ready to go. All depends on who we let go like.
