The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread
Diego21 replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
It is something that (I think) I commented on his day in summer. For me, his performances in general were not really good. It's true that if you score seven goals in seven games (I think it was like that) and score points in almost all of them and help the team to save itself, you're a star, but his real performance, to me, suggested that when he stopped scoring, he really didn't he was going to have the impact and, in fact, probably not even the place to play in the XI. Above all, because he was a fairly expensive signing. t is something that was difficult to say at the time, and that is easy to say today. It is something similar to what has happened to Lingard. Last year he was magical with West Ham, but this year he hasn't had a place at Manchester and, possibly, at West Ham he wouldn't have shone like he did that semester either. -

Yep. Diego Carlos is not my favourite. For me, is the same kind of CB than Lascelles. Carlos is better with the ball, but sometimes this is bad thing because he thinks is better than he is and make a massive mistake. I think that he is better because of the rest of the players in Sevilla. I mean, Kounde, Acuña, Navas and Fernando playing with him helps a lot. He is very strong and good in aereal plays, but he is very slow in short movements. And there are one stats that... He did 10 penalties in two seasons. The most in Europe. -

I guess no problem for Diego Carlos to get the Work Permit because he is 28 yo and have never played with Brazil. There are new rules since Brexit isn't it? -

The best thing of this sign I think is Burnley is directly in relegation at the end of the season. I Will buy Pukki, Cantwell, Aarons for next. -

I like him. Good defender. Strong and with good ability. 21 or 22 years old. He is starter in Lens (amazing performance this year in Ligue One) He have been absolute with Argentina a couple of times, and he was the partner in the center back in U20 with Nehuen Pérez. I like much he is adapted very well to European football. Is similar player to Romero (Tottenham). -

Just a hint of something that is not going to happen, but could. If Burnley and Watford win their pending matches, Aston Villa would end the first round just 6 points from relegation. What I mean is that they are not much superior to us. In fact, they are in a rather mediocre moment for the players they have. 22 points is a very poor background and their only luck is that there are 3-4 teams (among which we are) that are in a horrible way. As a general rule, the 40 points have always been sought to ensure salvation, but for about 4-5 years a team can be saved with a lot less because there are always 3 teams well below the established level. Digne needs a team with an immediate project, it is true, because he is 28 years old and he cannot wait. But to join a team for six months ... You can come here and fight for relegation (and if you don't get it, leave the team) or you can go to Aston Villa to fight for nothing (or we'll see if by not releasing if they accumulate 3 or 4 bad results in a row) and next year keep fighting for nothing. -

I do not understand that Digne prefers to go to Aston Villa rather than come here in a permanent transfer. It is obvious that Aston Villa today is better than us (not much better either) and that it has a solid base, but that today it cannot give it more than to be Top10 or Top12. But the project that we should have is much bigger. And if the team manages to avoid relegation, we should be ahead of Aston Villa in the short term. -
There are not new strips but I want to show you my Newcastle shirts. I was shirt football collector since I was a child. I have more than 100 pieces in general. First Newcastle shirt I get was 2007-2008 shirt, when I was 15 years old. I admited, I was Michael Owen fan since Liverpool years and when we signed him I was very very amazed. So... I printed Owen in the back. Second I get was Alan Shearer (1997) shirt. I asked my father to get one for me as my Chritsmas presents near to 2010. My family was always involved in sportives brands. Puma, Adidas, Nike, Mizuno... So my father could get me one (also a Fiorentina shirt). The year we played in Championship in 2009 I was obsesed with yellow/orange stripes shirt. But I have never get it. Next I have was the year we come back to Premier League, with Andy Carroll in the back. My cousin bought the same and, when his shirt arrived, Andy was Liverpool player hahaa. Later, I get Ben Arfa shirt the year we finished 5th. It was orange alternative shirt. I adquired the home shirt the year we played again in Championship. And last I have, it was a DhGate Replica of 1995-1996 away shirt with Ginola in the back.

Is not my fault. I promise.

OK. 70 millions to Lille per the duo Botman&Jonathan David. It's just a desire. -

I won't talk about the team's performance because I couldn't see it. And it's hard to say this after you get knocked out by a League One team. But defeat is the best thing that could happen to us. We have to focus all eyes on winning the maximum possible points and achieving permanence. FA Cup could only be a distraction in which, in addition, we would hardly go far and in a year that we have a very short squad. PS. We need a striker. -

When Man City, PSG or Chelsea did what they did, it wasn't exist the Financial Fair Play. I mean. You have much money, but you have limits, and you need to spend very clever every pound. First Man City transfer was Robinho... A man that when arrived thought he was in Chelsea (and he said this in his first interview). And a man it was downhill and just did one good year in Manchester. But they waste much money in wrong players we can't do today. 40M Robinho 25M Jo Alves 25M Santa Cruz (And they have Tevez and Adebayor) 20M Javi García. (And they have Barry for the samen position) We need to do a group and a base. First we have to get to be next year in Premier.... And next year you have to make a team could be fight to be in Top6 and try to enter in European Competitions. But most important thing is to get not relegated. You need players than want to grow at time with the team. And players than know that... With the correct steps, the could be playing Champions League in 2-3 or 3-4 years with this team. -

Cantwell should be a transfer for Summer. For free, in addition.
