Interesting players. Different profiles. Some experienced and trained to be starters like Tagliafico, Gaya, Bensebaini, Angeliño, Caio, Gunter or Bernat. Other younger players who could give equal or better performance than Lodi from now on (and all cheaper) such as Borna Sosa, Mathias Oliveira, Ait Nouri, Wijndal and who would be nice to sign while we stay with Targett.

I don't want to sound bad, but I see a lot of similarities between Lodi and Lewis. Lodi probably has more options to improve. And if you get it, it's great. But I don't know if he will make it. Lodi doesn't quite convince me, and I've been watching him play three years in a row. (To be fair, in 2020 he had a great game against Salah and if that was always his level...) He has played only because Atleti did not have another left back. He is very, very fragile in defense, and you can see that he can be good in attack, but he is very hasty and doesn't think about his actions. In fact, Simeone, in order not to put him, last year he had to change to a five-player defense and put Carrasco as Left Back. The moments in which Lodi has played better this year have been practically playing in the middle on the left, and not in defense. I think he has qualities, but that he is a somewhat limited player when it comes to learning and perhaps he will never end up exploiting. In fact, in 3 years, he has not improved. I don't know if anyone remembers the Copa América final between Argentina and Brazil. The match ended 1-0 with a goal from Di María, which easily entered Lodi's back thanks to a pass from De Paul. Di María said in an interview that during all the days before the match, Ángel Correa (Atlético de Madrid) had told his teammates from Argentina that the best option to attack was to look for balls behind Lodi, who he trained. with Lodi every day and everyone knew that he was very bad defending. On the other hand, Lodi is a boy who seems very simple. Humble. He is a good person. At Atleti, when he played 2-3 games in a row (vs Man United and Celta de Vigo) and the public chanted his name, he left the stadium crying. He looks like a very good person and I would love for him to end up triumphing. But he raises a lot of questions. I think the ideal thing for Newcastle would be to stay with Targett and then try to sign a player who could have a future and progress if they don't trust Lewis more. Or Lodi, if he didn't cost as much as 40 million.

Looks Like Kamara had everything according with Atletico but in the last time he decided Aston Villa because the signing bonus.

The girlfriend of a friend of mine, who was an English teacher in Spain, went to Newcastle to work, and she told me that it was impossible to understand any of Geordie. When I went to Newcastle I went with that fear, not understanding anything. I don't speak English very well, but I can defend myself. But instead... I understood everything perfectly.

I am so sorry. Portuguese is so similar to spanish that I was sure that the translation was not necessary for the Spaniards... Without realizing that you do not speak Spanish. 😂

When Dubravka arrived at the club, I read that he was very good with the ball at his feet and that even Benítez sometimes put him in exercises with the midfielders to pass the ball. I personally don't know if Henderson is good with the ball at his feet because I've never seen him play. There are some goalkeepers that I do know are. Above all, today, this is being worked on a lot in schools in Germany and Spain. -Kepa (Chelsea), although he doesn't completely convince me as a top goalkeeper. But Chelsea needs to sell him yes or yes. -Trapp (Eintracht), although I'm not sure he wants to leave Germany. -Leno (Arsenal), another goalkeeper who is going to have to leave Arsenal to play and he is very good. What about Woodman?

Yesterday I told you that audios of the owners of Valencia are leaking. Okay. One leaked last night. In it, Anyl Murthy (the owner) says that Valencia is a beautiful city, but that they don't know how to export the club's brand. And for comparison, he says: 'Newcastle is a shitty city. But on the other hand, the club, at the sponsorship level, knows how to move'. This gentleman hasn't been eating at Greggs.

Should be Targget plus one young LB with so much future.

Valencia CEO are in talks right now with Barcelona try to sell Gaya and Carlos Soler. Both of them are very good players. Gaya should be the LB starter for Spain (and he is better than Lodi, that is the player that have sound the most for us). With Soler I have more doubts how can him adapt to PL. (In fact, I want both of them for Atletico too hahaha). I told this because looks like Barcelona have said they don't have money to sign him and Valencia need to sell both of them In addition, they are the two captains of the club, but yesterday some audios of the president were leaked saying that he threatened the players with screwing up their lives and their families and after this they will have to sell them.(). To 'cure' their accounts, Valencia is selling players below its value in the last years.

Allow me to expand a bit on the Carrasco issue. I will start by saying that he is a superb player. And that at the level it is currently at, €60M is a fair price. In his day, Fooball Leaks leaked the transfer of Carrasco from Monaco to Atleti. Monaco kept 25% of the pass, because they understood that Atleti was going to sell it shortly. But it is that, in addition, Atlético put the player's file (valued at about €20M at the time) as collateral for some loans that the club had requested from a Canadian investment fund. OKAY. this was 2015 Carrasco grew a lot as a shock in the 2015-2016 season. He was a pure winger, a dribbler, but it was difficult for him to start because Atleti did not usually play with wingers. But that year Atleti hardly had any real strikers (Griezmann and later Torres had a few good months) so Carrasco played a lot as a second striker. In his 2016-2017 season he was incredible, but little by little he was deflating. He started having a bad attitude. When the coach put him on the right wing, he stopped running and fighting. He had problems in the locker room. One day, after drawing in the UCL against Qarabag (for which Atleti was eliminated from the group stage) he had a fight in the locker room with the captains Koke, Gabi and Godín. In February 2018, with the market closed to sign players in Spain... he went to China (the same day that Atleti opened a franchise team in Canada. Do you remember that he came and was put as a guarantee for a Canadian company? ) Also, he went to the Dalian team. The team was owned by a Chinese businessman named Wanda. Wanda is the man who in 2017 bought 20% of Atlético de Madrid for 50 million euros and also put his name as the name of the stadium (Wanda Metropolitano). That same day, Atleti sold Nico Gaitán and Carrasco to the same team, but the amount of the operations was never known. In China he played as a second striker (the team was coached by Benítez). But there he had many discipline problems. He got into a fight with a teammate (he broke his jaw Steven Taylor-Carroll) and was suspended from employment and wages twice. He returned in January 2020 because he came for free... Atleti needed attackers and at the last minute they couldn't sign Cavani. So Carrasco arrived. The truth is, he did not have any impact between the months of January and March. He could tell that he arrived without rhythm and from a minor league. But then came the break due to the pandemic... He now seems like a much more mature player. Last season he played the whole year as a left winger and it was incredible the fight he put in and the tactical conditions he showed. He is a player who, when he is plugged in, reaches the 90th minute after running the entire game and continues to run and dribble rivals. Today he is one of our best players. In my opinion, together with Correa, he has been the best player this season. It is true that he had some bad games (when he was sent off in the Champions League and was banned for 3 games he seemed to fade). I really believe that he has the quality to play for any team in the world and when he is at his best he is an absolutely differential player. I also think that his best position is on the left wing and that it wouldn't make much sense to sign him if the club is going to stay and really trust Saint Maximin.

Interesting to know the Gabriel Jesus movement.
-
I agree with Lascelles. I mean... The man is more a problem than a solution. He is the captain... He is playing last weeks when he doesn't deserve because Schar and Burn are better than him. But he has some special power in the team because he is the captain. He has a contract in that probably is write he has to play is he is fit... And in the other side, is a man with some behaviour problems. Diame, Willock, Hayden... The man has in some fights with some teamates.

Ludovic Blas could be a good player. In my opinion, if Paqueta is in his top level, he is better than Blas. But I have some doubts with Paqueta. He is very good in Lyon, but he was failed in Milan. Bruno and him are best friends and Paqueta have been in St Mary Stadium this year watching Newcastle againts Soton.

And next year he will sign another again. You need Academy players to complete the list for Champions League😇

Other Games 21/22: Talk about Actual Football
Diego21 replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
About what?? FFP?? -
Probably Carrasco and Lodi. Maybe Hermoso.

Gabriel Jesús, Morata, Belotti, Mousa Dembelé, Icardi, Jovic, Maxi Gómez, Lacazette, Lukaku, Depay, Milik, Origi ... All of them will be in the market next summer. And if Everton get relegated, Richarlison and DCL too. I like anothers interesting like Jonathan David, Iheanacho, Gouiri (is not a striker, more like second striker similar to David Villa)
-
I suppose that you know it, but there is an anecdote in that signing. I don't know how it was reported in England, but here it was given a lot of coverage because Robinho was leaving Real Madrid and here the press is 99% Real Madrid and 1% other teams. The fact is that Robinho landed in Manchester, they went to introduce him... he entered the stadium... and he realized that he didn't know anything about the shield or anything out there. Until they told him that he was signing for Manchester City… he thought he was going to sign for Chelsea!

Tavernier 94 matches, 34 goals and 32 assists in the last 2 season. 340 matches, 80 goals and 106 assists since he joined Rangers. I would like to see in Premier League next year and he could be a good choice to be the reserve of Trippier. I have to say that when he was our academy player and he played very little, it seemed to me that he could have a future.

I must say that Wilson is a player that I have never liked... Until I saw him play here. Obviously, if Wilson can't stay healthy, a striker needs to be signed. Because Wood is a player who has never scored more than 10-12 goals per season. It is a very difficult decision because everything will depend on the striker you sign. If you can bring in someone like Dembele (Lyon) he is a player who will fight Wilson for the starting job. The 'problem' is that if you bring in any striker, Wood will be left as a third option. And it has been quite an expensive investment to keep him out. And no other team is going to buy it for anything close to what it cost us.
