Jorge Mendes is the men that controls Valencia and Wolves (and Braga, Besiktas, even Atletico overall in the past) and some portugueses and brazilian players. If you see the Wolves squad, you can find several players under the Mendes Umbrella. Jose Sá, Neves, Moutinho, Semedo, Totti, Jiménez, Pedro Neto, Podence, Chiquinho, Adama Traoré and even the coach Bruno Lage. In the recent years... Nuno (the coach), Trincao, Diogo Jota, Vinagre, Rafa Mir, Rui Patricio, Helder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro...

Hopefully we are behind Guedes and not the Wolves. Because I do believe that he is a player who fits in very well here. His best position is on the left wing, but I don't think he would have a problem switching places with Saint Maximin. In addition, he could really fight for a place with the Frenchman and that would make both of them raise the level. I really like Guedes. He is fast, he has a good shot from distance and he has good technique. Last year, he even ended up playing a lot as a reference forward up front (not his best position, nor is he a goalscorer), but it could be a solution in case Wilson is unavailable and we need something other than Wood.

Lee Ryder has also come a little over the top with the renovation: "If Howe's wish comes true (to win a trophy) they should make a space between Alan Shearer and Sir Bobby Robson for a new statue."

I'm not sure if I like Cornet or not. I think he can be a good bench player, but we need a starting player on the right wing (And Cornet plays better on the left). I think that, as a starting player, he falls short for the project, and as a revulsive player, he does not improve much what Almirón or Fraser can give us.

Sorry mates because I was working and I couldn't say this to you at time.. If you hadn't watched the match, in Athletic Club Youtube chanell have been broadcasted. You can see anyway PS. I don't know is it geoblocked or not.

I am not the biggest fan of Krafth, but he earned this extensions in the last months with Howe in the bench.

I have a doubdt. What is for you the fee of Trippier transfer?? 12M pounds more or less? In Spain, so much people said in January the transfer fee was 12M pounds, but if Newcastle get not relegated should pay another 12M pounds to Atletico. It's a 'info' Ben Jacobs published then and some media like Sky too.

I don't judge him. I missed a couple of those in my short amateur career as a kid. -

Please tell me that April Fools has been delayed this year. -
Well, don't expect much. I already tell it. Scamacca played in youth time at Roma. A couple of years ago, his father, to settle pending accounts, entered the Ciutat Esportiva de la Roma with a baseball bat and an iron bar and destroyed the cars of several bosses. His grandfather has been arrested several times in his town, on one occasion, when the police arrived, he was in a bar with a knife threatening normal people.
-
Wait to hear stories about his father and grandfather.

Real Sociedad is a tough negotiator. They normally don't sell their players below buyout clauses. For example, they sold Diego Llorente to Leeds for around 20 million. It seems to me that he was one of the worst defenders in the Spanish First Division. They sold Odriozola to Real Madrid for a fixed 30 million plus 5 in Bonus (his termination clause was 40). They sold Yuri to PSG for 15 million and Iñigo Martinez to Bilbao for 30 million (his termination clause). And these are all fenders, which are usually cheaper. If we go a little further back, they sold Griezmann to Atlético for 30 million (and saved 20% of a future sale) and Illarramenti to Real Madrid for 30 million. (Both had that termination clause) I think it will be very difficult for them to negotiate for Isak for less than 50 million.

@Polarboy @Dr Gloom I don't think he can play all three attacking positions. I think he is a player who can very well drop to the wing to download the game (preferably to the left wing), but I don't see him as an attacker out there, as in his day, let's say, it could be Henry. I can't compare him to Ekitike because I've never seen the Frenchman play. In my opinion, the best situation for Isak would be to be a solo player up front, sending long balls and waiting for others to arrive from the second row. That is to say, I think he is a player that we could have taken advantage of very well between 2017 and 2021, but now with Howe we may be going to play something else. If we play Isak alone up front, he could help other players with good arrival, but surely we would need guys like Joelinton, St Maximin, Bruno, Willock or the player who is going to play on the right wing to put up a good number of goals. It is true that Isak scored many goals in a bad team like Willem II, but the truth is that except for that year, he has not been a good finisher. If he ends up improving in that aspect, I do think he would be a very good signing even for 50M
-
This year Isak has been tremendously bad. But I think he has the potential to be a great player. He is very good at footwork, he is very intelligent, he has very good actions. However, I have my doubts that he can carry the weight of the goal alone. He misses a lot of very clear chances. Instead, he is still 22 years old and he can still improve that facet. I don't think that today he is a 50 million player. If we could get it out for 30 I would see it as more suitable. Isak is not my favorite for us because the style, but I admit that he would not be bad, that he could play very well in pairs with Wilson, although it would raise doubts if he played alone up front (which I imagine is what Howe would look for). Real Sociedad is a team that does not let its players go easy.
-
He is a very strong player, who is capable of generating chances on his own without anyone's help. I have never really liked it very much, honestly, although I think it could be a good option for its quality. Still, I'd like a player with other skills, because Zapata is more like what Wilson and Wood can offer us.

Last week I saw a stat that says is the forward in the 5 top leagues with more fails in easy situations to score.
-
Or even the forwards are without club like Belotti, Keita Balde, Cavani, Mertens, King, Deyverson, Jordan Larsson

And one more thing, the vaccination certificate is the easiest way to enter to some countries. Renan Lodi couldn't play with Brazil in past february because he wasn't vaccunated and Brazil didn't let him to enter his own country. Imagine to pay money for a new player and he can't travel with the team in preseason or international match.
