I kind of agree with what he said! Man City have a massive squad of internationals. Silva, Ballotelli, Aguero, Toure, etc. list goes on for quite a while. We ourselves have good players but not to the extent of where they are superstars. To be fair, Man City have been streets ahead of Man Utd and that showed when they hammered them!

In the paper today saying that Virgin Money would speak to Newcastle at the "Right time" about sponsoring Newcastle United. Looks possible that they will switch the Virgin Money logo on to the shirts come January. Would fecking love it if they sponsored us and gave SJP back its name!

Fantastic bit of business by Virgin to buy NR. They have done well in the Financial Services side however have not been able to break through in to the full retail banking side. Due to the brand image they hold of being cool, friendly and giving to customers then this could be a serious player in the banking side if they build it up nicely.

According to talksport we are going to sign him. Turned down Manure in his early years as his mother sent him to France as he got offered a better education. Having a look at his record, he seems to be performing quite well in the french leagues as a midfielder. Anyone heard or seen him? In theory if Nike did sponsor our team along with naming the stadium could you imagine the loyalty they could buy if they called it back to the original name of St James park. They would be classed as heros for giving the Stadium back it's name along with appeasing the fans and buying the brand loyalty of Newcastle United fan base. Newcastle United on the other hand would benefit from bigger sponsorship. They could still have the Nike logo all over the stadium as its show cased and that would be great for commercial branding. Fuck I am should be advising brands here!

Getting mentioned in America is nothing new. We have a good following in the US. Strangely, Newcastle Brown Ale seems to have a great amount of sales over there. I still remember going in to Disney World in Florida and not finding Man Utd strips for sale they only had Newcastle United or Liverpool!
