I wouldnt mind Guthrie going out on loan. His attitude has been nothing short of poor this season. He made a mistake against Chelsea which he didnt even bother chasing back and West Brom I fear the injury he picked up was more to his pride than his leg. He was good enough in the Championship when he was surrounded by a Premiership class team however I fear with the above mentioned mistakes, he would be better off moving clubs. He just doesnt seem to have that passion for football nevermind Newcastle. I hope the lad makes it somewhere however I just dont think Newcastle are the club for him. Forementioned rumours on this forum also make me believe something just isnt right with Guthrie at the moment and maybe a fresh start would help him out.

One player I would put in to the fray is Gary Hooper, has a great first touch and some great finishing skills however its whether he could use that in the EPL. He done it in the Championship after all. I wouldnt pay anymore than £4mil for him

Everytime I seen him play in the championship, he always seemed to fall over and a couple of times it worked to our advantage as we scored. I know they say he has 5 goals in 7 games however that was a Hattrick against a very, very poor West Ham side. His goal at Brum wasnt really a convincing header in my opinion. More he flung himself at it hoping it would come off and it did. One thing about his career is he seems to have purple patches where he scored a good few goals and then he will go through a very dry spell. If we got a good offer in for him in the region of £5-7mil then I would sell him and if you take the Carroll ratio of Premier League appearances, etc. Thats an acceptable amount. On the other side, he is only 24 and maybe this is him starting to blossom in to his peak.

If you quit before 5 minutes of the 90 then the game gets null and voided. It's in case the other player has bad lag and you want to pull out. I think EA should maybe look to address that problem whereby if someone is winning, award the win and if its a draw then just give no points to any party.

Yeah, Sunderland is a shit hole. Even the name doesnt really make it sound exciting. I can imagine Steve Bruce selling the club to future signings. Bruce "Come to our club, we got a great stadium, great team spirit and you can get a nice place in Newcastle which is a stones throw away!"

I agree, there is no need to rush him back as we have a very strong midfield with all the players we have. The only way I can see us rushing him back is if we get in to a position were Europe was becoming more a realistic chance and we lose Nolan, Barton and Guti to injury.

I think with him coming back this season, he will be mainly used from the bench and maybe a start in the last few games. I dont think he will be firing on all cylinders till he gets through the first 5 games in to next season.

Evening Chronicle Article Seen this in the news in today's Chronicle. I find it quite refreshing that Newcastle seem to be properly organising themselves properly for matches. I hope the tech side of things dont dampen the Newcastle Team Spirit at the moment. That would be my only concern if Pardew starts coming down on players for trivial things. I know we had this with Allardyce however the difference being that Pardew seems to want to play football. Fat Sam was interested in just killing off the opposition in the hope of nicking a goal!
