According to the newspaper, Blackpool are interested in Nile Ranger. This is a difficult one for me as this guy has a great talent about him. Shearer rated him during his short stint in charge. If anyone could judge how good a striker is then it would be him. Problem is that his attitude has failure written all over it. It's been mentioned in the public domain. Beardsley referred in an interview to players coming in to the academy at nufc and thinking that's it! I have made it. Something tells me that Ranger is one of him. Would I sell? No, as we don't have anyone to replace him however if we got another few strikers in then I would let him go. The lad looks set to be another talented individual being out to the scrap heap. Not for the fact he isn't talented enough but because he doesn't have the attitude to be good. Maybe he should have a chat with Michael Richardson, see how lucky he feels then. From sparky to training with his team!

Me too! Looks god awful like the one we have right now. I did give the current home one a chance by trying it on however I genuinely thought it would fall apart after two washes!

Table is wrong. I have played twice, drawn once and won once not including this week!

Lille 0 - 1 Dortmund Barrios breaking through and finishing for the goal. Nortoon missing an open goal in the closing stages with my goalkeeper managing to get it!

Time for a poll. It is a really difficult choice to make as all of our players have put in some season changing performances. For me - Nolan - His goals have made the difference in my opinion. His goals against Sunderland including a Hat trick was one of the best games I have been to and witness. His leadership qualities to take someone like Carroll under his wing has been great. He got us started against Wolves got us started along with the goal against West Ham. I have called him a fat shit but credit where credit is due. He has taken this club when we were down and in trouble and pulled us through to surviving in the premier league. My 6 week old kitten toony typed this:- 23333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333ww 71 Maybe he is voting for Enrique? haha

Bror I am available evenings and weekends my good man. I think maybe Saturday night is a no go however available anytime Kev - agreed with Besty, if you don't win we will petition for a ban! Haha! Play shola upfront instead of Ireland!
-
I must admit, I had been calling him an absolute donkey for a lot of the time he has been here but credit where credit is due, he has stepped up to the mark and done a job in the team. I feel ashame for the lad cause he must have been very confident of going on to score more!

Has this game happened or will it being going to the pools panel to decide?
-
Worringly, Ameobi always seems to pop up with a goal for me!
-
Aww I know you were a lucky ******* Kev! Haha! I am just disappointed there werent more goals scored.

Pardew in the Evening Chronicle today confirming that Stephen Ireland is on a Pay as you play deal. I must admit, I was thinking what a waste of wages this guy had been however I am glad to hear the club done business in a sensible manner since he had an injury. That must have been the hold up of the transfer for half of January! I imagine we still paid a fee for his loan though.
-
I will watch it especially if they show the reserve matches! I also heard that it will be a free to view channel and will be paid for by advertising! Somehow I see a lot of sports direct adverts being shown!
-
It was back in the Chronicle yesterday that we were looking at him. I think he would be a great signing however I would struggle to see where he would fit in to our team. Kevin Nolan usually plays in the hole behind the strikers and I cant imagine him as an effective central midfielder due to him being more of a late arriver in the box type player. What does excite me is having Taarabt and Ben Arfa playing together! Two flair players working together would keep teams guessing however we really need a striker who will be able to score!

I can't tomorrow Kev, girlfriends mum is round for dinner and something tells me if I say excuse me I got a FIFA online match in a forum tourney, she won't be happy! Haha! Thursday? Friday?
-
I have this funny feeling we will see him a few times. I am inclined to say that he probably wont do much but you never know! Logically - He hasnt played for four months and was out of form when he did play. To think he will come back as the Stephen Ireland that was in the form of his life would be silly.

Drogba is not French nor from France. Aye basically what Tom said, guy moved to France at the age of 5. His football education came from France.
-
Fair play if Mike Ashley went to visit him. In terms of getting French talent for the future, they do seem to produce some very good players. You just need to look at some of the top players in the world over the past ten years. Henry, Zidane, Drogba, Anelka, Evra, etc. Although you also need to watch what you buy! Steve Marlet being another haha!
-
I think Rabbit, your going to need to put together a better argument instead of red cards and own goals.
-
I would find it rather ironic if they get relegated this season. After all the abuse they gave us. We are still to play them this season as well. I think any player over the age of 27 is a no go unless they give supreme value. I could see us signing Bothroyd though. The hype seems to have died down about him. I seen us linked with some 30 year old Croatian striker for £8mil! No Chance will we buy him for that or even £2mil!
-
I see a lot of the Villa players are becoming disheartened with the Frenchman and are looking to leave. One that strikes me as someone we should look at would be Gabriel Agbonlahor. He is very quick and powerful. Young and just the type of player we need up front. Has done nothing under Houllier whilst in previous seasons, seems to have been very good. He wouldnt be an unrealistic signing. Another mentions are Stephen Warnock, Richard Dunne, Brad Friedel, Ashley Young, Petrov as all being unhappy and want to leave!
-
I seen those two being linked this morning however the chances of us going out and spending 40mil on two players appears to be very slim. I think thats more an agent talking up the move more than anything else. £40mil for two french league players is a massive, massive gamble!
