Neil Taylor Transfer Saga & Other Adventures...
KeithJ replied to @yourservice's topic in Newcastle Forum
Left back. Replacement or competition for Enrique by the looks of it. He can also play left midfield too. As regards as to how good he is? Dunno! Find it funny how Newcastle are discovering all these clauses. It's very good and thorough scouting information. Pardew has been known to find a few championship gems! -
When this lad signed he was dubbed the next Wayne Rooney however today he has just been released by Newcastle. I wonder what went so wrong for the guy. I know he had injuries. Anyone know the full story? Fulham are interested in taking him.

As I have said in a previous thread, I dont think Nolan will be a first team starter by about November. Pardew has already stated he sees Ben Arfa playing in the hole behind the striker which is Nolans best and most effective position. With Cabaye being more a central midfielder and Barton who I expect to stay playing on the right, I just cant see where Nolan is going to fit in. Shame though, Nolan hasnt put a foot wrong this season and admittedly I was one of his biggest critics early on however his ability to score goals is his biggest asset along with his leadership skills.

1. Cabaye to sign 2. Jose to go 3. Nolan to no longer be in the first team. As regards to the third, I know he is an influential player however Pardew will prefer Ben Arfa in the hole, Cabaye will partner Tiote and I don't see Nolans best strength in the centre of the park. He is best left behind the striker!

Vanden Borre for me. I think he is young and would be a good signing. He was very highly rated when he was younger and would be good competition and cover for Danny Simpson. He is a good passer of the ball and got great vision. Pity we didn't have a good striker otherwise we could have a team haha!

More shit writing in the Journal. In one article we have made a bid and he may be tempted and in another article for Gosling it says Pardew has moved on since he wants to go to Spain! I think 10mil is a bit extreme for him. I would have thought he is more worth about 7mil. Definitely need a big striker to play with him!

Some French kid. Played for the national side for the u18s

Signed this young attacking midfielder from Lens after a trial. Never heard of him and done a quick google search and so far all I know is that in 2016 he will become a world class attacking midfielder in football manager haha!

I seen this, Ba refused to sign any autographs which ended up turning in to a riot. It's not as if this was your common fan as these people paid 350 a head for the dinner. I personally think Ba is doing it to get a move out of West Ham. I think every footballer knows refusing autographs at such a public event is a big No, No! Wouldn't say no to him coming to Newcastle either!

Will this be resuming since the Network is back up? Besty have you resigned since you have sold your PS3?

Put Remi Streete in just for his cool name! Remi, taking football back to the Streetes!
-
To be fair to Shola he has done alright and I would happily roll him out every time we play the mackems as that is when he comes alive!
-
I wouldn't mind paying the money to bring in Ba. He has done well in a very poor team. He has been the main reason they weren't relegated sooner. Got to feel for Robbie Keane, the money grabbing bastard won't get his £1mil bonus for keeping them up!

I thought our young players gave a really good account for themselves in this game. Ferguson looked very good and seems to be growing in experience. Sammi Ameobi looks extremely quick. The way he could eat up the ground was nothing short of impressive. If he fills out like his brother then his challenge against Essien towards the end could have been a different story. Lualua looked as if he was going to be quiet when he first come on however he came alive for that good cross at the end. A lot of the Brighton fans have been raving about this kid and I think he has ability. I remember watching him ghost past players quite a number of times in the reserves. Krul, his poor decision cost him however it's a young goalkeeping mistake which the young arsenal goalkeeper made against is. I don't think he is first choice yet. Maybe it's time to have a look at FF when he comes back! Would defo like to see more of Ameobi junior!

Down until the end of May! Utter shite!

Good player, he gets stuck in and my Villa mate would be spitting feathers if he came to us on the cheap as he rates him very highly!

Kuqi! Haha! -
Agreed, I would be handing Tiote a holiday Brochure. Would be stupid to risk him for two meaningless games.

I heard Pardew was looking at bringing in some tough tackling French midfielder as he will be missing for the African cup of nations as well. The french player whose name escapes me was also a bit of a play maker. Which I think could be a good thing in building a really solid midfield. Problem is if you done that and put ben arfa in the hole then where does Nolan fit in? Be unfair to exclude Nolan after being one of the top goal scoring midfielders this season. Mind you Ben Arfa will take time to get back to his best.

People love rewriting history like. If he's half as good as Dyer was at his peak he's worth it. The twenty or so appearances peak? Injury peak? or when he scored a record 5 goals in one season peak? Although to be fair to you he did do well in the 02-03 season however didnt chip in with enough goals for my liking. Still one season doesnt really make it in my books!

If we spend less than £10m on a 'proven' striker then we might as well not bother. Even spending more than £10mil on a "Proven" striker doesnt work. Alves for the Boro was a prime example of that. Even spending £8mil of a relatively proven striker didnt work for Arsenal in the shape of Jeffers!
-
Ditch the bid now, everytime in football manager someone is dubbed the new.... it never happens and they disappear. I get what everyone is saying about him having potential however two other players we bought from Ipswich had potential. mr Dyer and Mr Bramble. Considering our transfer budget is a reported £20mil, to blow half of it on an unproven kid would be something else!
-
Reports in the Daily Mail saying Pardew hopes to entice Connor Wickham to Newcastle United by using his connections with the lad. Ipswich on the other hand want £10mil for him. Fair enough he is young however he hasnt exactly been banging in the goals in the championship and he could be another David Nugent. I think £10mil is insane for what the lad is! A raw, relatively untested kid in the top flight!
