From inside my head Might do some more, once in a while, if I get chance. Deadman...how can I break this to you...

I think that Ranger should have been on for Lovenkrantz about 10 mins before he was today. Our midfield and defense were brilliant today, but unfortunately our lack of quality up front cost us the points. I lost count of how often I heard "perfect cross, if only someone had been on the end of it." The Carrol situation is irrelevant as he would not have been fit anyway, although if anyone had told us in September that going into the last part of the season that Leon Best would be our first choice striker, he would have been laughed off the board. I think we will be OK this season. There is enough fight in the lads to take us through, I think. What is worrying is what happens next season if we lose Enrique, Tiote and Barton On the positive side - we get Ben Arfa back in a few weeks for the last stretch. Might be better to bring him back after the Man City game mind

I could not be happier that none of our squad are getting the call up. It used to be an honor to play for England, but to be honest, after the gutless shambles that was the World Cup, I could not give two shits about the national side anymore. It might change when Capello finally fucks off, but at the moment I just see internationals as potential injuries to key players that we can't afford.

Routledge could not cross to save his life, but his presence in the squad meant we had a shape, and we had attacking options on both sides. At the moment our attack is Enrique -> Jonas -> Enrique ->Jonas who gets fouled and Barton takes the free kick. That worked when we had someone to get on the end of that, but then we sold him. Nolan only scores when Carroll sets him up and now will find he has no real purpose in the side other than to shout at everyone when he fucks up, largely due to him being as mobile as an escort with bricks where its wheels should be. Thank god that Alan Smith is injured. A central midfield of Smith and Nolan is about as effective as putting two stakes in the ground by the halfway line. Although the Alan Smith stake occasionally falls over and conceeds yellow cards in the process. Even with Tiote back, we are fucked. No matter how much we boss the midfield, if we have no one further up who understands the basic principle of "ball goes in net" then we are fucked. Sorry, been drinking. More despondant than usual

Does Ed Harrison trawl this board for his news or something? I suggested that Aliadiere was available on a free at 12.09 and less than an hour later its a news story on his blog! At this stage though, anyone will do until the end of the season. Preferably someone who knows where the fucking back of the net is. We literally are out of options. One more injury to a forward and we are royally fucked.
-
Hmm, had a look at the PFA list of players that are free agents and the best they have is Jeremie Aliadiere. He's shit and all that time in smogtown probably fucked his lungs, but he's worked with Pardew before and is probably better than Best.
-
Na, you can sign a free agent at any time. Does not have to be limited to the transfer windows. Probably the only realistic option we have for getting more bodies through the door. The worry would be that, if they are free agents they probably won't be match fit and so won't help much in the short term. Maybe Ben Arfa fancies being a striker when he gets back in March
-
Hopefully Pardew is looking at any strikers that are currently free agents in the hope that there is at least one of them that is better or at least on par with our current crop of forwards. Does anyone know if there is a list online of free agents?

I honestly feel sick about the whole thing. Fatty has once again given the fans a great big "Fuck You". Yet again he has made an obscene profit in a transfer window. Yet again, we bring no one in and come summer we will have to sit through months of waiting for replacements, only for none to arrive. Just like what happened with Milner, Nzogbia, Given, Martin, Beye, Faye, Parker, Dyer and everyone else that has been sold under Ashley. Where is the money from those sales? Straight into Fat Mikes wallet. How he can think that, with a squad that has been paper thin since before he arrived, and is currently ravaged by injury, letting three players leave and bringing in one on loan is a good move? I swear, its like he can't keep those pudgy fists away from the self destruct button. My god - Shola is now our number 1 striker and it seems like Leon Best is out number 2. How can anyone have thought that was a good idea. What is more depressing will be the lack of reaction from the fans. The next home game will be packed. 52000 people will turn up, sing "Get out of our club" while eating their half time pies, waving their programmes in the air and maybe picking up a replica kit from the shop before they trudge home. Way to go lads. You showed him. Too fucking depressed for words.

Ashley probably thinks that, as the summer's signings might actually be able to play for us after January, we won't notice that he didn't bring anyone new in. This whole situation seems to be just another Ashley smokescreen. Pardew is making the noises for the press, but when it comes down to it, I can't see anyone new coming in. Parew probably knows it as well and is deflecting the anger and disappointment until the end of the window. Seems insane that he is loaning out the likes of Routledge and Donaldson at this stage in the season, without bringing anyone in. Routledge may not be the greatest winger, but he is the only right winger we have, and we hold our shape better when he is in the team. Barton tends to drift into the middle quite a bit, leaving Simpson exposed. We have needed cover for Left Back for about 3 years now. Our current strikeforce of Shola, Ranger, Lovenkrantz and Best is hardly awe inspiring now Carroll is out injured. Danny Simpson is a long way from being a good right back and is only in the team because he's a damn sight better than James Perch. Our midfield consists of 1 winger (Jonas) and Nolan, Tiote, Guthrie, Barton, Gosling and Ben Arfa who are all central midfielders. Any fool can see that the squad is badly unbalanced and lacks a hell of a lot of quality in key area's, so why can't Ashley? At least Alan Smith is injured for the rest of the season. Not having him play when Tiote is suspended is almost like having an extra man on the pitch, even if that man is Danny Guthrie

Who feels passionately enough about this to jack it next season?

I haven't had a season ticket for a good few years now, as I don't live in the region anymore. I would always try and get to the match when I came up to visit family though. When Keegan left, I vowed never to set a foot in SJP until that fat cockney cunt had gone. I still went to a few away games, and watched every match I could on TV or streamed off the net. This time, though, I feel like we have hit a new low. I am honestly sick to death of everything about Newcastle United. Supporting them feels more and more like some form of punishment. I have about 400 quid in my skybet account thanks to 20 quid on the chelsea carling cup tie and the arsenal game, and my intention was to stick a tenner on to win each game to the end of the season. Now, to be honest, with Ashleys little cronie in there and the likely implosion of the team, I honestly don't know if I can bring myself to be arsed to watch the games on TV anymore. I'm certainly not going to be wasting any more cash betting on this team to win. Never thought I would say this, but Ashley and his little arse ferret are making me fall out of love with NUFC. Where's Raul Moat when you need him -
The only way that a boycott could ever work is if it was properly organised and well publicised. Contrary to belief, Ashley shat himself last time a boycott was threatened, when Keegan went. He started offering free tickets to local schools and the club made a few statements in the press, trying to persuade people to turn up. And it worked. We had the biggest gate of the season and we missed our chance. NUST does not have the balls or the organisation to stage a boycott or walk out, unfortunately. Those with season tickets will say that they have paid their money, not realising that its the statement that an empty ground would make thats important, especially for a high profile game. Others will say that to stay away would affect the players. I would hazard a guess that the players have been plenty affected by this already and we are going to be looking at getting a proper hammering from Liverpool at the weekend. Whether anyone turns up or not is unlikely to affect the outcome. At the end of the day, the supporters of the club will, for the most part, shrug their shoulders, turn up to the match, buy their programmes, eat their pies, drink their pints, buy a shirt in the shop and then sing a few choruses of "get out of our club", then boo the team as they trudge back to the dressing room after getting absolutely stuffed. There is no point in arguing with anyone about it. If a proper protest was organised, then we might have some hope of making a difference. Until then, those of us that will stay away will carry on, and those that won't will go to the match, and Ashley will carry on taking a great big shit on the region.

This beggars belief. Hughton has done a great job considering the ridiculous constraints placed on him by the fat cockney bastard. If someone had suggested at the start of the season that we would be 10th in the league with victories against Villa, Arsenal, Everton and the Scum, along with a point against Chelsea, then he would have been called deluded. Chris was given a remit of premiership survival this season, and he was well on course to achieve that. Despite a couple of ropey performances, for the most part, the lads have played their heart out. No manager worth his salt is going to come here after this, especially when there will be no money available for transfers for the forseeable future. Ashley is killing this club, and every time things start to settle down, he goes and pulls another stupid stunt like this. Until the fat fuck leaves Tyneside for good, we are right up shit creek, and relegation seems a much more likely prospect than it did yesterday, especially if a donkey like Pardue or god help us, JFK, is brought in.
