more than a few hundred of us mate; try a couple of thousand magnificent day
-
how do those on this messageboard who relentlessly use the term "mental illness" to refer to those who disagree with them feel about this tragic loss?
-
Elliott & 10 others
-
good point; the Twitter reaction to the first half was akin to Macduff receiving news of his family in Iv iii of the Scotch Play

do you have to hijack every single post i make for the purpose of maintaining your vendetta against me? i stopped posting on here because of you, returning to start the RIP thread about The Undertaker & Liam. because that was respectfully observed, i returned to make last night's post, which you've been all over like a rash. you don't have to pursue this agenda; you can ignore what i say if you don't like it

i thought it had something to do with Roxy Music; "For Your Pleasure" neologistic acronyms are a curse on the aged.....
-
what does FYP mean these?

it happened & i was there; September 82 before a 1-1 draw with Chelsea - to deny this is to rewrite the attitude of NUFC fans to Bobby Robson, showing he wasn't loved at first, but he was forgiven & is now remembered in hagiographic terms. my dad was an obscure nobody in that sense; retired electricians don't get the kind of post mortem veneration people like Bobby Robson do. however, the grief felt by those who were left after my dad's passing is real & does not diminish with time; all that happens is that one learns to deal with it. the proximity of the two men's deaths & their ages (Bobby Robson was born 22 Feb i think; my dad 9 March) resonates with me, though perhaps not with other people

so because i miss my dad, i'm tapped. let's see what people think of you 5 years after your death......
-
Robson died on 31st July & my father Eddy Cusack died the day after, of cancer, in the Freeman. Unlike Robson was dad was not spat on by NUFC fans in 82, knighted or conspicuously venerated after his death..... i met Robson once, at Tow Law on 1st July 1999, and liked the man, telling him that day he'd be NUFC manager by Christmas, to which he replied "you never know son, you never know." i met Eddy Cusack thousands of times & miss him still; he was a good man & a great grandfather. tonight i was in the Irish Club in town & the Bobby Robson Memorial garden; you have to.... goodnight Eddy; miss you every day xxx

John "The Undertaker" Alder & Liam Sweeney RIP

Also while I didn't know Liam at all, his dad Barry is a regular fixture refereeing in the Northern Alliance.... -
John "The Undertaker" Alder & Liam Sweeney RIP

Mirfield to be precise for Mal; he moved to Newsham & opened a paper shop in the late 80s iirc... his brother still works at the Ministry & sorts out loads of away travel for the likes of Davey Faichen etc..... Was talking to Biffa on Saturday at Bay v Musselbrough; he'd tentatively arranged to go to NZ & would have been on that flight if he'd booked. The only reason The Undertaker went that way was because of cost; his preference had been to go on the Saturday after the Reserves at Gateshead, but it was £500 more or something, hence why he left on Thursday. These tiny margins..... P.S. Respect to the Mackems -
I don't know if I've missed a reference to their passing elsewhere; if so, apologies. Two NUFC fanatics, attending every game home & away since the year dot, died in the Malaysian Airlines incident yesterday. they were travelling to New Zealand to watch Newcastle when they lost their lives & my thoughts are with their friends & families. i didn't know Liam, but I've known The Undertaker for pushing 30 years or more. always attired in a black suit & open necked white shirt, he was an absolute fanatic, as far from the stereotypical super fan as you could imagine. RIP

you're mistaken Jonathan; i'll accept the apology in person & video it for you tube

?

how do you know?

better than putting up photos of dead-eyed, Eastern European peroxided, smackhead whores though....
-
cheers

ironically, the house she just moved from was one they went to when my dad was 55 in 89 (day before we beat Hull 3-1 away) & she was 53 - it was their retirement bungalow with a nice garden. great when you're part of a couple & still mobile; not so good when you're pushing 78 & almost immobilised by osteo arthritis & suffering loss of vision..... this new place will give her a new lease of life... might move there myself when i'm 55....
-
it isn't actually; the fans forum has 1 seat held by NUFC Fans United, of which the MAOC is a part not a whole
-
elated; finally got my mam moved from Swalwell to Monkseaton & her own purpose built old person's apartment. so much easier to see her now & check she's ok
-
indeed he was; Ecclefechan i believe..... being optimistic, i'll take the positive from your last sentence; cheers, though i realise it's unlikely you'll fly in for it......
-
no he didn't, but we can pretend that he did if it makes you feel better about yourself......
-
i'm glad you know so much about me; from now on would you like me to refer to you as Boswell?
-
well done; you've learned to tell the time
