you spelled "dirge" correctly; the problem is that it doesn't make any sense in this context. apology accepted; no hard feelings

it's taken over from "moral," which was last month's buzz word about the Wonga deal, when it should have been "ethical" Next month we'll be using "complaisant" when we should be using "complacent"

A sense of relief that Obama won; I suppose we're all that bit less likely to die in a nuclear holocaust during the next 4 years

After my dad died in 2009 (day after Bobby Robson), I had bereavement counselling through CRUSE, who are based at St. Gabriel's in Heaton. It was 6 group sessions of talking through what the grief actually meant; it was really helpful (& free, though donations keep the organisation going). It was non-judgemental & entirely reflective & supportive. It stopped me from becoming medically depressed I'm sure, as it provided timely intervention, halfway between a formal medical referral (waiting list; stigma etc) & family discussions (fraught with difficulty as everyone is involved in the same grieving process & reacts differently). If anyone ever needs this, the contact details can be found at http://www.crusebereavementcare.org.uk/LocalCruse.html

I'm no Celtic fan, but that's a stunning win, regardless of how it has been achieve. To deny them that is to be churlish

As a Hibs fan, that delights me

Was Clarke's only game in charge not a 5-1 loss at Old Trafford? I thought Nigel Pearson was in charge for the 6-0 after Allardyce was bulleted....

another interesting fact is that Krul & Foster didn't kick the ball long for the first 30 minutes; when we started that tactic, we took the lead - then it stopped working. Ben Arfa had a bit of an off day & Shola's shot that landed in Level 4 had me in hysterics.

Walsall are my favourite midlands team; on account of fact we don't play them (though knocking us out of cup in 75 HURT) Wolves worst, then Baggies, then Brum & amazingly Villa are bgest & they are total shit bags. rather have conversation with a cockney or a scouser than a Brummie

there are some premier league teams i quite like, such as fulham & reading, then there are others i dislike & i really hate west brom
