I state quite categorically, for the avoidance of doubt, that I am absolutely elated Sunderland have been relegated for the second season running. The suffering engendered by every single one of those 6 shameful defeats in a row by them was worth it, just to be able to laugh loudly and uproariously at their fate. In April, I'm taking a trip to Leeds on Saturday 14th for Mekons 77 at The Brudenell. May will see Yo La Tengo, also in Leeds at Church on Thursday 3rd, then Swervedriver at the hideous Academy on 15th. Back there June 8th for The Wedding Present. Last one on the horizon is The Band of Holy Joy at Tynemouth CIU club on Saturday 7th July.
