Your making far too big a deal of it to be fair. He's fallen well down the pecking order and to be honest with the noises over the summer it looked like he wouldn't even be given a number. Yes the situation itself hasn't been managed well but it's Pardew and he's infamous for his man-management ineptitude. Ben Arfa is in limbo but the fact he's in the squad suggests there's scope for him to work hard and get back in the picture but I doubt that will happen as at this point in time all he wants is to fuck off somewhere else and I don't blame him really with the way things have degenerated for him over the past year.

Aye because to them Rodwell is a huge signing, they're not used to buying anyone of considerable note over the years. So small time it's laughable.
