Personally I think the two biggest problems with signing players is money and the lack of commitment to a transfer. Buying a player involves signalling your intent and making a player feel wanted by the club and selling the club's ambition and plan for the future. We couldn't be further from that if we tried, we go in half arsed with a reduced offer with fingers crossed the club might accept and we get the player on the cheap, there's no selling of the club's ambition, no appeal to the player and intent on how much they want them. When was the last time we actually BOUGHT a player from the premier league?

Watched Mccullin last night, hard hitting, intense and for the most part really shocking. Brilliant watch, he's a character that governments would never allow to work in this day and age, I'd love to see some of his photos that he would have been prevented from printing over the years, or on the other hand maybe not.

Considering we are seriously lacking in goals and have a shit selection of strikers at the club then selling our best goalscorer would be just as criminal as the shit show with Mbiwa and Santon last season. I'd sooner rather see the back of Riviere and others rather than Cisse. The scripted format is shit, the show has slowly got worse over the years, the only thing that kept it together was the fact everything else on the BBC is absolutely woeful and the show brought a bit of welcome relief from all the other atrocities the BBC screens. Also like him or loathe him Clarkson brought a bit of charisma, without that the show will be fucking pointless as whoever joins the show will be a pale imitation.

Finally got round to watching Lilyhammer, worth the wait. Van Zandt is superb.
