the Man Utd fans I’ve spoken to over the last few months seem resigned to a demise in their stature. Losing Ronaldo and Tevez was the start, but seeing how City have been spending and what the Glazers have done has made them wind their necks in a lot. Hilarious watching them though. As amusing as it is to witness the decline of Man United, the sickener of City buying the league more than spoils it. It really is... Harsh on such a successful club the way things are going... But the memory of their lack of modesty dries up the sympathy pretty quickly..

You're right. It's pretty sick like, but I really hope they go bust, cant happen but it would be lovely if it did. It's sick taking satisfaction from other people's pain, but I remember the season before we went down, and we were in trouble, we lost 3-0 at Anfield, and the only song they sung all day was "going down going down going down" and they took great delight in it too. They don't bother me that much more the gloryseekers to be honest and the sympathetic media they get regarding their unhappiness at the Yanks compared to us ungrateful twats being pissed off with Ashley/Llambias. Have to say i thought the issue was passed by after no criticism of the tackle on MOTD or in the media in general... But Van Meyrick (however you spell) - his reaction has been the only one that's brought some attention and criticism to it.. Brave move because i doubt he was under much pressure to do so.. Probably sick of the negative attention the dutch got during the world cup from the likes of DeJong.. Fair play to him though..
