Yes, your right. But in his case I'm talking generally as a team defense. I've missed watching one or two games (I think one was the first Maratimo game), which means like you all, I've closely watched every friggin goal against on the replays, and a great percentage of those let in came down to one, two, three, or sometimes all four just being lazy as hell. Could use some help from the midfield too I guess on a lot of those goals, seeing as they normally play so deep anyway. I won't even get into our attacking problems at the moment. Which I see most on here see what I'm seeing. Which is ****.

Well, looks like you guys aren't saying it so I will. Captain Colo let the team down the last goal. He didn't even bother getting back to mark Cameron Jerome, just breezed right buy him. And that other fella, Williamson? need I say more? Frankly the entire back four have gone mad the past few games. Right out of their minds.

Don't know if it's Cabaye's fault or Pardew's tactics, probably a combination of the two, but something has to change because we are getting nothing going down the middle attack wise. Not even a simple little one-two. There are no chances being created that start from the middle outside the box. Not sure yet Cabaye has the motor for it.

Troubling result considering we have been lucky to grab points all season. I've used the adjective lucky far to often this year. Sad that it is a very accurate description for their performance thus far.

The Canadian Toon contingent is not very happy with today’s goings on. We just finished writing a stern letter to our Member of Parliament. Yes, under the circumstances, we will take the point, but we are really shaking our fists furiously over here.- 756 replies

Bingo. Lack of Investment to the starting XI

As a team we have been sh*t in all competitions. Lucky so far not to be further down the table than we currently reside.

Everton v Newcastle United ---- 17/9/2012

Should put Cabeye on. Don't know why Pardew hasn't started him yet this season. -
I hope not. I like Jonas in the midfield. He can go box to box and help control the game from there. Much more economical there than on the wing, IMO. Especially if we're going to go with Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa up front. Bring on a CB, RB, and a CF!

What?! No mention of Davide Santon? The kid played like a World Cup veteran today. -
Is Krul one of the best keepers in the league?
LooneyToony replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
He seems taller to me this season for some reason. -
Let's hope this is the beginning of a new and improved Jonas. One who can finish as well as he can dribble.

Oh Jonas! That is THE best goal he has ever scored! Almost makes up for all the missed chances in his career!

Santon in match day squad for Wolves
LooneyToony replied to jaythesouthernmag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Same old donkeys going on about emergency loans without a grasp of PL rules. Easy there, your Majesty the Queen. Some of us are just rolling our eyes and hoping for a break for the club. I don't know why they didn't sign Van Aanholt during the transfer window. He wanted to come here, has more skill than any of our present FB's other than Santon, if not a little lacking on the defensive side than Simpson. He would have been useful as cover. -

Gutted. Van Aanholt on an emergency loan? -
They've had eight months to scout strikers they would want after selling Carrol, and here we are on deadline day with nothing. Absolutely disgraceful. A slap in the face to all Newcastle fans everywhere.

Davide Santon signs a 5 year deal with Newcastle United
LooneyToony replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
This is a fantabulous signing by the club. Now they should just splash the cash on a young striker on the heels of this capture (which they won't). If they did that, we're talking about ambitions for the club that were a pipe dream just a few years ago. -
Mehdi Abeid was a great get for me in my early campaign managing the Toon in Football Manager 2011.
