Well I hope you're right about his leaping reach because someone has to do the job back there. Colo is great when the ball is at his feet (I always would have liked to see him put as a holding mid), but he is not the greatest in the air. And anyway, his form overall at CB the past few years has been less than good, to be polite.

I just fear we are going to be out jumped in the box with Mbemba and Colo at the back.

This ^ Be honest with our team. We have one of the worst LB's. We have two of the worst CB's in the league. The midfield is no better than the relagation contenders. Our strike force is only better than a few teams. We have Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley. So here we are.

Just keep Ayoze Perez, Rolando Arons and the like. Losing most of the first team would be a positive.

If I were Pardew, I would put on Cisse and Cabella and take off Coloccini and S. Taylor. I would move Adam Armstrong and Anita to CB.

No offense, but what is the fascination with Adam Armstrong? Not yet. Not now. Let the kid grow some arms and legs first before throwing him into these games. But then when I look at our bench, other than Cisse, our options are absurd. Where are Abeid, Rolando Aarons even, and others? Which goes to my third point. We need investment in this transfer market, the next transfer market, and the one after that. Otherwise, what's the point? We just exist. Like Sunderland.

And what about Coloccini? He let Graziano breeze by him as if he were a pylon. Oh that speedster Graziano, he's a tricky little striker. No way a guy like Coloccini can keep up with him! (Sarcasm)

Defend Coloccini all you like, but he's not one of the best defenders in the world. Yes he's good when the ball is at his feet but he's terrible in the air for a CB, and the team and dressing room has been horrible since he's been captain.
