  1. Wow, just reading this game thread has made more anxious than I have been about the club since the relegation season. Even last year we had something like 35 points in the bag before we nearly choked it away.
  2. I like Gini playing alongside Shelvey in the middle. He's more skillful, stronger, faster than those others. I would like Rafa to ask Gini to take one for the team and play CM at least on the road,, at least for the nine games remaining. Maybe not so much at home, but I would try it.
  3. But they were setup by Mclaren to do poorly right from the start. That whole playing from the back bs was taken to extreme by players who are not that smart to begin with. Defensive organization? non existent from day one.
  4. Rafa saw how play in the midfield and said, "Fuck me, I've to take off that useless cunt Anita. Let me try Gini, man." Good move.
  5. From watching the replays it makes me sick to my stomach the lack of commitment in our defensive end from just about everyone. It's almost like they don't care. Sorry Rafa, but if we stay up it would be a minor miracle.
  6. Wow. did you see Mitro defend Sissoko, or Sissoko defending Mitro from scoring. We should put Mitro and Sissoko as CB's, and take off Taylor and Lascalles.
  7. Speed drills would be one thing to work on, among other things.
  8. C'mon Fish. There are plenty great managers out there that have players that worked out and those that haven't. Okay here's another list. This is just one attempt, but given time I'm sure I could find lists from his time at Tenerife and Valencia. Probably better list than any of our managers over the past number of years I'm sure. http://telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/7673913/Rafael-Benitezs-five-best-and-worst-transfers-at-Liverpool.html
  9. Bingo. This is exactly how I feel. What a wasted opportunity it would be.
  10. Well, he may be fit so why not? It's not like playing Anita/Colback/Tiote has worked any better this season. At some point I assume we'll be playing Doumbia and he hasn't played regularly for ages.
  11. Well? I know most of you are sleeping, but what do you guys think about putting De Jong alongside Shelvey instead of Anita or Tiote? I think it could work well if Siem is willing to work hard in the middle.
  12. Edit and P.S. - Whoever can play in the middle but slightly deeper between Dejong and Wijnaldum, which is probably Wini, should play alongside Shelvey. But I'd much rather at this point have Wni play farther up the field. Nothing to lose...play our best players.
  13. Elliot Janmaat Taylor Lascalles/Mbmemba Colback Shelvey Dejong Sisoko Wijnaldum Townsend Mitrovich/Perez
  14. Wahey! Rafa Banitez, eh? Fabulous. What a strange set of circumstances. Under what other scenario would this club been able to attract a Rafa Banitez? Wonderfully the stars, moon, and planets are aligned perfectly for him to be available and finding this a massive enough challenge to be part of. Thank You Alan Pardew, John Carver, Joe Kinnear, Charnley and Ashley. Your collective incompetence has led to this minor miracle.
  15. Not even a rumor of an emergency meeting tonight or sometime tomorrow?! Oh god, they're keeping the stiff.
  16. I hear Snoop Dogg is a good football coach. He even took his team to the Snooper Bowl a few times.
  17. It could have been worse. I could have been born in Newfoundland.
  18. I'm Canadian and a huge Newcastle fan and I'm gutted. I truly truly feel for you Geordies who go out and support this club week in week out like few others in the Premiership. You primarily, and we deserve better.
  19. Omg, I think the entire back line (Taylor) backed into their own net maybe from 25 yards out.
  20. Hey look, there's Colo resting his bad calf on hid knee.
