Welp, he's only 23 so that's good. And according to transfermarket his primary position is as a right back but he can play left back as well. So all that chatter about what little playing time he got at Liverpool and Marseilles implying that he's complete crap means nothing to me now since he was only 19/20 at the time. Let's hope he can do a job when called upon.

He had better mobility than Tiote or Colback. And, imo, would have been better than Jack fucking Colback in all areas.

You think youngsters play their entire lives in one position? The ones that make it to the pros have been the best player at their clubs wherever they've been and have probably played all over the park at various times in their lives. You may think it's daft but when his mind wasn't clouded with San Lorenzo, or wherever it was that his heart was, I actually saw him run forward with some authority near the end of games to try and get the tie or winning goals. With his above average ball skills, above average passing, calm in tight spaces, along with already defensive mindset, - yes, imo, he might have been a better DM with training. Especially the last three years with us. Could have got a better CB and move him forward to DM.
