Yes it would, they already spend more time singing about us than any other club, even their own sometimes.
-
That's fucking tragic on your part. No wonder they laugh at you lot on an almost daily basis. Tragic? Get a grip. It's just what football fans do. Man U fans themselves were up in arms about it.
-
It goes back to Man U dropping football club from their club crest.
-
Sorry didn't see the Rory Smith tweet, he's one of the LFC reporters I trust most, gets very little wrong.
-
He's young, still settling to the Prem and would have played more this season if we hadn't been so bad, will be a great player for the future and as a stand in for the made of glass Agger. The word here last summer was that they both agreed on each others targets, but Commoli wasn't keen on Downing or Adam, and Dalglish wasn't sure about Carroll, but both agreed to all of them eventually.
-
We got rid of a load of deadwood, lowered the wage bill, and spent 33 million net. FSG, wanted more British players btw.
-
FSG have spent 33 million net.

It's nothing to do with wallowing in self pity, it's something that developed from the beginning and why should the families or the club be told to move on? It's up to anyone to grieve/move on in whichever way they choose, and LFC will always be dictated to by the families on issues such as this. The memorial service has been held at Anfield every year since the disaster. The club has always taken an active role in it, with officials, players and management being present. Up until the 20th anniversary only families and the above mentioned took part in it, it was closed to fans because the families wanted it kept private, but after seeing the response to the 20th they decided to open it up to anyone who wanted to come. How other clubs choose to remember their tragedies is a matter for them alone, as its Liverpool Football Clubs right to do it their way. I'm not sure what would happen if they were told they had to play on that day because both the FA and UEFA have always been accommodating. The fact that a failed comedian spoke about it in the way he did just shows what an arsehole he is, if he wanted the debate raised he could have done it in a more appropriate manner. Personally I couldn't give a fuck what he or others think, in this case though I find the fact that he went for damage limitation as soon as the flack started shows him up for the lack of balls character he is.

Fucking hell, is that a real rant or just you fishing for a few, spot ons, good post comments? I live here, I've travelled around the country, I speak as I find, and I'm sorry if my response to Luke has upset you so much. It's the truth. I wasn't aware I'd reacted to your 'accusations', everyone's entitled to an opinion. I didn't say that your proclamations were wrong at all, I said in reality I don't come across it. I'm sure you could go and find fans of those clubs who hate Liverpool and Scousers, I'm sure you could find loads of fans who hate Newcastle and Geordies, on the net, but so what? It's in real life that matters, and the real people I've come across are very different. It's not an article. It's a thread of a visitors view of England with plenty of contributors from the UK and world, and no-one warning him about Scousers or the city, just ordinary people, with ordinary views. As for your Kenny Dalglish views, they're yours, why would I agree with them? He's our manager and I hope he's still our manager next season. I have complete faith in him to turn it round, there's only been one manager in my life-time that I wanted gone before he was even appointed and that was Hodgson. 18 months is no time at all for a manager to get a team where he wants it to be.

When you say many across the country LL I have to say I don't see it. I've travelled the country extensively and not come across these views very much at all. The internet isn’t real life, and I’ve read many things on it, good and bad, about Liverpool and it’s people, I don’t set great store by either. Footy sites are full of bile and hate about many things, but there are sites where people talk normal about other towns, cities and people. Here’s an American guy whose passion was the Industrial Revolution, so he planned a visit taking in various northern cities, Liverpool being one of them. He found he loved England and Liverpool in particular, there’s no –one on the thread warning him that Liverpool’s a dump, or Scousers are scum. http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1455347&highlight=liverpool I’ve also been involved in quite a few projects in the city over the years, and I’ve met hundreds of people from other parts of the UK, and the rest of the world, and 99% of them absolutely rave about the city and its people, always say they can’t wait to come back. I take notice of people like that who’ve actually chosen to spend money to come here, rather than some people on the internet

I've moved on from this now, he was found guilty, and that's the end of it for me, but it leaves a bitter taste still. As far as summary's go Fish, they usually tell the story an investigating panel wants to be told, without the discrepancies on view. The Warren Report for example (only using this because it's one of the most blatant and famous examples)the summary said loan gunman with a political chip on his shoulder, no evidence of conspiracy, 26 volumes though showed hundreds of discrepancies and contradictions, and also opened up an industry for conspiracy investigators. I haven't read the 115 page Suarez report, but I've read loads of passages from it that have been sifted by LFC fans who understand better than me the workings of these type of panels, and the wordings of such reports. Maybe I read too many and my view became obscured, but I do firmly believe that Evra lied and got away with it. Here's a thread that might help, anyone interested, understand where Liverpool fans were coming from. http://forums.liverp...s-Suarez-report See it's this that I don't understand. What did Evra lie about? There's footage of Suarez using the term. He has admitted to using the term. He's claimed that it's not racist, but is in fact, a bit of banter. Experts state that in the context of a competitive game and the manner of the delivery makes such a claim ludicrous. At best you can say he's a horrible little shit who didn't think before he spoke (like the teenage idiots on twitter who call Stan Collymore a n*gger and a coon and the like), at worst he knew fine well what he was saying was offensive and harbors racist tendencies. I don't believe anyone can, for one second, claim that he said the term without meaning offence. Even if Suarez had called Evra a rabbit 7 times in the manner in which he did it'd be clear that he meant offence. I swear to God if this was Fellaini calling Johnson a Sambo, then claiming that in his culture it's not offensive, you'd be up in arms. Just like you'd be calling for Roy Hodgson's head if he had a string of results like Kenny has... Liverpool football club is famous for many things, it's tremendous domestic and european history, it's great players from past and present, but right now, across the country it's renowned for other things They will never admit they're wrong They will claim they are, in fact, the victim They've an arrogance in the league that carries zero water They will never hear a bad word said about one of their players, nor their city They've handled this season appallingly, Dalglish and his terrible football wouldn't have been tolerated if it wasn't Dalglish. There's no way Benitez would be permitted that kind of expenditure on players with such little reward in the league, Suarez is a vile human being and yet you ask a Liverpool fan and he's hard done by. There are still Liverpool fans who insist there's a conspiracy that rob them (ironically) of results and key decisions. Total victim fantasy land Literally no humility and no grace. That journo summed it up when he said "Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing". I know this sounds partisan, or jealous, or bitter or whatever. It's not I just geuninely have yet to find a Liverpool fan who conceds that Suarez is a shit, concedes that Dalglish is shit, concedes that they're as far away from winning a title as we are. To put it into context? You ask a Geordie about how they felt when we signed Bowyer, or how embarrassed they were when Taylor went down like he'd been shot, or where our place is in the league. I swear to God it's a more realistic world than every scouser I've ever met. (As a caveat, I've not met all scousers) They are your opinions Fish, doesn't mean they are right or wrong. I disagree totally with most of what you've written, but I won't debate opinions, we're all entitled to them. There was no video evidence in the Suarez case Fish. Evra was shown the match video and was asked to point out what was said at which point. Even then he had to do it 3 times because of his mistakes. Suarez wasn't shown the match video at all, and whereas Evra gave his evidence within a week or two after the match, Suarez wasn't questioned until much later, and without the match video. BTW, wasn't that ashamed phrase first put on a banner by Celtic fans to Rangers or visa versa, and then used on an Evertonian banner?

It was interesting to see a lot of them are balanced on 90% of the subjects, but Dalglish seems to be untouchable and they all toe the party line re: Suarez. Fwiw, I have read the rerport summary and I'm not sure where they get half of the stuff the claim it says. For example it states fairly blatantly that Suarex was not a credible witness and that Evra was, that Suarez used that term 7 times and not in a genial way so to say that "where he's from it's a friendly term" its bollocks. The way I read it, it'd be like a Klansman trying to say he was using the term "nigger" in the same way as gangsta rappers do; as a term of endearment. It just doesn't stack up. More than this though is their 100% assertion that he's not a racist. Every single one of them states categorically, Suarez is not a racist. It's just weird. It'd be like, when he was playing for us, Newcastle fans stating that Bowyer wasn't a horrible little racist. He is, despite not being found guilty, he blatantly is. I've moved on from this now, he was found guilty, and that's the end of it for me, but it leaves a bitter taste still. As far as summary's go Fish, they usually tell the story an investigating panel wants to be told, without the discrepancies on view. He told him to go away because he was dealing with it, nothing to do with Dalglish getting in trouble more Stevie G thinking he's bigger than his manager imo. He was a good lad when he was young but he's turned in to a right wank, more or less from the point he won the CL. No disrespect to Liverpool but he should've left years ago. I think Mourinho said as much himself. Gerrard could've been a worldwide icon, ability wise he's easily one of the best ten players worldwide of the last 15 years, and what's he won of global worth? One Champions League medal and that's it, in possibly the worst side ever to have won the competition. He should've been at a big club like Manchester United, Milan or Real Madrid from 22 or 23 he really was that good. As I said, people will believe what they want to believe. Mourinho wanted him as did Ferguson, he chose to stay at Liverpool and I'd say his medal haul isn't shabby at all, better than Shearers for instance. He didn't leave because his Dad made him see sense and Gerrard himself saw that it wouldn't have the same feeling winning the title with anyone other than his hometown club. The face saver for the southern press was that his family was threatened, this really annoys his Dad who says nothing could be further from the truth. Two CL finals in three years is a fantastic achievement for the worst team to ever win it, I wonder why others couldn't do it.

For once I actually agree with you on this part of your post, there was no fight in them after you scored. Too many of them appear to have the attitude that because they've won a cup and qualified for Europe the league doesn't matter. Even Gerrard was low profile. You deserved your win, well done, I hope you overtake Chelsea. A great season for your club and you deserve all the plaudits, as we deserve all the shit we're getting, but I think next season will be a telling one for both our clubs. An 8/10 season for us if we qualify for Europe. It will take us a few years to get to Tottenham's level on and off the pitch but we've got a good chance of doing it now. I think on and off the pitch, as a side and a business, we've overtaken Villa and Everton, and when you think in September 2009 we lost at Scunthorpe and Blackpool it's some turn around even eclipsing them. Gerrard is a disgrace to Liverpool. Regardless what my feelings about Dalglish, your players or your club are, what Gerrard did is the same as someone like Shearer ridiculing and massively disrespecting Keegan in public. "Shoo, go away", this is to a bloke who won 5 or 6 titles as a player, 4 as a manager, and 3 European Cups in his playing days while being his countries most capped player and someone who is widely regarded as one of the greatest British players of all time. I can't stand Dalglish, but to Liverpool fans he is the ultimate legend, I don't care if it was heat of the moment stuff, Gerrard's public humiliation of someone of that stature was disgraceful. Gerrard was trying to stop his manager from being booked for being on the pitch, but people will see it whichever way suits them. I can think of far more sticks to hit Gerrard with. He's always been a versatile player (much to his detriment for England) he's still probably the best RB at the club, but his best position is right mid which is where Rafa always wanted him to play. Gerrard hates that position and more or less refuses to play there. I personally think he should have been told years ago to play where he's told to or leave. In the 08/09 season Rafa told him he had to play on the right for the coming season and he was proved right, Gerrard scored 24 goals and won the player of the year award, and we finished with 86 points, enough to win the PL in some seasons. He was fantastic on the right but the next year he was back in the middle. He's been a fabulous player for us, and I hope he still has a few years left, but if he's going to be as flat as he was on Sunday then maybe it's time he thought about his future.

Nightmare It probably came across a bit arrogant AH, I accept that, but there's more to it than just winning a trophy. It's a good thing for the future all round. The fans are happy, the club has a feel good factor, and the team gain experience of winning trophies, hopefully encouraging them to up their game and work for more. 6 years could mean most of your team have no idea what it's like to play in a final, win a trophy, or work their arse off to be picked for the big game. I know it doesn't seem to have had a positive effect in the short term but I think that's more to do with them giving up on the league and thinking they can save their energy for the FA Cup, but it doesn't work like that, they have to learn that you give 100% every game no matter what's at stake. It's the only way to be a winner. Long term it can only be beneficial when the new season comes round and they've already had a taste of winning medals, so know what they're missing if they don't get there.

He's been training Bobby, and I think will be available.

That's a fair set of questions Fish, will have a go at them later.

Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool

I don't think he'll agree with an awful lot I say, why should he, being an NUFC fan an all? Your post doesn't really say anything does it, just a 'oh fuck, I'll have to put this down, I won't comment on anything he's said because it sounds right, I'll just see if I can be clever enough to mock it' you're not. -

So basically you like him mainly because he doesn't mock Liverpool like the rest of us do. I don't see him mocking any clubs, and if he hates one of them then I haven't seen it. I've also disagreed with some of the things he's said, but that's all about opinions, and is what football fans do. Mocking Liverpool doesn't bother me, I just smile and count the trophies. Maybe you should look at yourself if you can't accept an outsider having a favourable opinion of one of your most prolific posters. -
Jealous I've always wanted to be scouse. Just so we can make that clear. You patronising old cunt. Oh I don't think you want to be Scouse, thank Christ, and it's not hard to patronise an ugly minded bigot.
-
"I don't hate anything in life really, but I hate Liverpool, and I tell you what it is, it's exactly because of cunts like you. Your football club is by far the most hated in British football and it's fuck all to do with you being successful"] PMSL at that. Your posts on many clubs, cities, and people, show you up for the hate filled ugly minded bigot you are. See, it even matters to you that others hate the same club you do. Why? Why does it matter to you what, or who, others love or hate? You are jealous of LFC, Scousers and even this city for some unknown reason.
-
It was a bigger more prestigious trophy, it doesn't fit your agenda so you deny it. You are one of the biggest cunts I've seen on a message board. You're a patronising bellend, and if we took the name of your club out of every post, anyone in the world could see you're a Liverpool fan. The reason you're here is to patronise Newcastle today, no other reason, little chips away, there's facets of my club that will be better than yours till the end of the world, the support for one. The FA Cup was bigger than the league, MUCH larger crowds watched FA Cup games than the league. Even the blue dippers agree... http://www.vintagebl...h/sausage14.htm My first match came when I was eight, against QPR, and it was the week before the 1984 FA Cup Final. Me 'al fella took me to the game, as compensation for not taking me to the Final. He pissed off down to London with his mates on the ale, I would do the same now if we got to a Final, my lad is three though. What I remember most about my first visit to Goodison was the low attendance a week before the Final. In those days the FA Cup was bigger than winning the League. Was happy to say got my dream in 1995, when I went down to Wembley with me mates to watch us do the Mancs. It's not like it's an argument. Only an odious wall pusher or someone who's so clueless they shouldn't talk about the game would disagree. No it really wasn't, I can't help it if he's as much a gobshite as you. I could take you to meet loads of Evertonians who would laugh at that comment. I really don't need to have an agenda, our history is second to none, certainly nothing you could come out with. The FA Cup was the biggest domestic glamour game of the season, that's it. Great honour but if you can't see the difference between a Cup win and a title win there's no hope for you. Why would I want to patronise your club? They are what they are, as are all clubs. It's your deluded hate filled words that set you apart, not the club you support. You have to be one of the ugliest minded posters I've seen on football sites.

Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool
Pacinofan replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
I know this has nothing to do with me but I thought of LM today when I was thinking of last nights game and Gerrards part in it. Both of last nights clubs had a world class player coming through the ranks, both local lads, one a bit behind the other. Liverpool hung on to theirs through any amount of offers, and it paid off because that player has pulled them through the shit on many occasions. Everton, on the other hand, sold theirs to Man U without really much of a fight to keep him. Wonder where Everton would have been now if they'd kept him? Could he have done what Gerrard did for Liverpool, while at the same time attracting more fans, more sponsorship, maybe a trophy or two? I'm in agreement with LM, you keep your best players and add to them. Ashley is rich enough to have not let the club go to the wall under any circumstances, and it appears (from the outside admittedly) he wants to run the club the way he runs his shops. Andy Carroll would have been far better staying at Newcastle than moving anywhere. He was comfortable, playing well, and fitted in well with the team. Getting Ba for as little as you did would have enhanced your attack and strengthened your squad. Only my opinion which doesn't count for much as I don't watch newcastle every week. Also, I admire LM for a few things, his knowledge of football being the first. I've yet to see him get any fact from the last 50 or so years totally wrong. To have stuck to his guns in the face of all the shit he gets for it takes some doing, many a poster would have fucked off long ago. He doesn't appear to be full of hate for other teams either, and will post his thoughts about them from a fairer point of view, rather than from hate. And just as he doesn't condemn FS for the NOTW con, he doesn't condemn other clubs, or players, for off the pitch activities neither, as far as Im aware anyway.
