You've taken a wrong turn mate, this board is for the slightly less rabid and frenzied of us.

Yes and the same goes for every other club, the question is whether our problems, real or imagined, are bigger than 17 other clubs in the premier league. Man U are in a healthy state at all levels of the club; finances, team, management, reputation. Now they have a new owner who may or may not be a problem. There's no comparison. Yes, my point is that we've had that run you're talking about already and where are we now? Hitzfeld, Le Guen, Ranieri, O'Leary. We got our current manager in at this time last year, don't really see your point. I was offering you anecdotal evidence that your statement is false. 17787 For the record I was all for giving Souness until Christmas (not in such a minority on this board either). But after witnessing the West Ham game I said enough is enough. Can you name me a successful team using a target man with no movement in a 4-5-1 formation? I don't think Shearer's finished either, Robson recognised the pivotal role a Bellamy style player would have in extending Shearer's career. A quality manager can get us top 4 this season with that squad, he'll need to buy 3/4 players in January.

Most problems tend to disappear when things are going well. - That statement just doesn't make any logical sense. ManU fans were saying their club is fucked but to most outside fans, it clearly isn't. - I think their situation might be an ickle bit different to ours. A few good results and a bit of luck are what we need. - So when we went on that 10(?) game winning streak last season and are now in one of the worst runs we've ever seen, what would you call that? Besides which, I can't see Freddy going, and if we sack Souness, we'll only get some dude saying it was Souey's fault for 9 months. - Then Freddy will have hired the wrong manger, won't he? If you're going to sack a manager, do it at the END of a season, not the start. - West Brom would have been relegated if they'd taken that advice.

Yes, and it would be a small solution to cover up a much larger problem, hence the analogy.

The trouble with NUFC isn't FFS,GS or AS......

Yes, ultimately that would be the fans. I do think the crowd's attitude cost us a few points over the last couple of seasons though. -
You mean he's not real? There's another week of prayers down the drain. 16969 I only said he's ludicrous, not that he isn't real, of course he's real, he's talking through me right now....eat more spaghetti my child and you shall have the power of a demi-god!!!!! 17133 ???

Yeah, I've been wondering about that. What odds on Souness trying to turn Owen into a winger?

Looks like you beat me to it, not sure about that bit though! EDIT: Because if I was Owen I'd be pissed off at what is a faitly obvious ploy, worth a gamble though.

The 16m bid is the feck up Liverpool's bid, it's kind of clever really by Fred's standards. They'll never bid 16m for a player they sold for 9m plus a lawyer last season, so either he joins us for 16m or he joins on loan for a year. Fred may actually shit himself if he and Real agree to the permanent offer.
-
I'm not getting vaguely axcited until he actually plays for us at this point.

Prepared to pay, or offered? We all know what a wiz Freddy is at negotiating, they probably went back with an offer of 5m euro and Freddy folded his arms and stomped off in a huff. That's the guts of 5m stg, if he's turned that down in favour of a loan deal and a promise of...5 million stg he needs shooting, or worse.

Jealousy?

I once had to forcibly stop a mate putting his dog in the microwave, he really wanted to do it as well, sick fucker!

Am I the only person who thinks Souness is alright

Wind up? Or are you just related to Souness? -
Well it might be safer in one way but what use are they as makeshift condoms now? 16257 What did you used to do like? Rip a teeny bit off the corner? 16260 TEENY? How very dare you woman! 7 whole centimetres and a mighty girth.

Don't worry Isegrim, we'll have something to fight for this season - our premier league status. Up until Saturday I've been the eternal optimist, thinking Souness might still turn it around, even then thinking Luque might make all the difference on Wednesday. Freddy and Souness are making an unholy mess of this club and for those who think there are far worse teams below us - we played one of the worst at Fortress St James' on Saturday and we showed no signs of being better than them. If we get no new players in by next Wednesday we will struggle. Didn't Freddy say that Souness was his last try as chairman? I know he's a lying bastard but if we could dig out that quote and start a petitiion sent both to his office and Sky, we could make things very awkward for him.

Probably would have beaten West Ham with his movement up front, and that terrifies me.
-
I blame Glenn Close, ungly bint!
-
May be the closest you're getting to sexy football this season.

Fair enough mate, no need for that. I was just trying to point out if there was a situation where you would consider it then you could at least see where some people are coming from.
