1. Murdered by Geordies tbh. Now you bastard Northerners are trying to reduce him futher!
2. I'll go further out on that limb and say anyone with the hands and motor skills to allow them to use a keyboard is a wanker. Which makes me wonder how Stephen Hawking manages...
3. Cole's better going forward, Bridge's better defensively for me. I honestly couldn't call it between Heinze and Bridge, very similar players really. Heinze really annoyed me against us this season, thought he was all right last year though.
4. Out of interest, who would you have? I was trying to think of better left backs in the Permiership and couldn't come up with one. He's a very good defender and good going forward. Might get beaten in one area or the other but all round I can't think of anyone better. I definitely haven;t seen enough of del Horno yet and not quite enough of Heinze yet, though I do rate him.
5. I have a question about this. How do you think management styles come about? Do you think they're handed out, or that a manager is told - for this situation we're going to need you to be a bully - and the manager then puts his bully hat on. Or is it that management style comes from their personality and then they are given jobs/get success accordingly. Maybe the shy and retiring Roy Keane turned up to sign his first professional contract and saw 'overly aggressive cunt of a defensive midefielder' on his contract and thought - ooh I could never do that - and had to grow into the role? It wasn't just a turn of phrase by the way, I think Greme Souness epitomises the pathology of a bully.
6. He needs a fight on his hands at all times though for the sake of his ego. When he first comes in that's grand - big fights and he'll take them down one by one (notice the love affair with Robert when he was still battling Bellamy). But once the real battles are fought he'll go after people for no reason, who was the valuable Blackburn captain who was busted to the reserves for the terrible crime of attending the Christmas party of a member of staff Souness didn't like? He's not brave by the way, he stands behind his posse, the media and lies to take out one player at a time. He may have a use in certain scenarios but I wouldn't confuse that with him doing things for the right reasons. The man's got issues and is probably a deeply unpleasant character to be on the wrong side of.
7. Glad to see I'm not the only one who uses this approach to coding!
8. I must admit I felt the same way but then I think that may be us getting sentimental and falling for the propaganda hook, line and sinker. Everyone in the world is likeable for their own reasons but this man is a bully, an emotional cripple with low self confidence. If Terry Mac chooses to believe the hard man facade of a weak and pathetic character then he's doing his job well.
9. "You believe there's racism in football and so do I. I just happen to think it's a noticable minority." That's what I said above and the only reason I pursued the issue is that I think you've misinterpreted what I said. I think maybe you think I'm arguing ChocChip or AF's point, I'm not. A racist will obviously give a foreign footballer a harder time and they exist in a minority. I just happen to think that that minority is noticable, take Alan Oliver for example. I don't think he has an agenda, he doesn't have the sentience, but he's a xenophobe with a readership. He passes on his feelings about certain players and I think that has an impact. I certainly don't think Geordies in general are racist as was suggested above or that this problem doesn't exist elsewhere, this just happens to be the club that I follow and I see it here.

It's certainly encouraged me to shop there!

Service Pack 2 Problem

When's the last time you updated your graphic's driver? Might be no harm to update DirectX also. I've heard it's a bad idea to leave things open but I do it all the time and I've never had a problem. I think they're just worried about denial of write access to a dll in use by another program during installation.
12. They'd probably all get it, just think their fashion consultant should be sacked, they look like they're off to play bingo, or get payed for sex!
13. When you make that headline appear in all the national papers it'll be better. That'll be the 'Edit Reality' button.
14. First picture - very nice - who is Lucy Pinder anyway? Second one - they all look terrible!
15. I'd like to make a complaint peasepud! Every time I see this thread title my heart skips a little beat with delight, then I remember it's not true and feel more miserable than ever.
16. I use the Livebox with Wanadoo France, I have to say it has some of the worst installation software I've ever used for anything but once set up it's allright. If you want to do anything complex like port forwarding the interface is laughable but achievable. If you're not tied into that Wireless & Talk deal you can get much better prices for online calls, I pay 1.7 euro cents (~1.2 pence) to call all of those locations and more through Skype. One of the major voip operators gives you I think 15 USD per month for unlimited calls. Mobile calls to any country including the UK are expensive though. If they're tying you in to that contract for a free Livebox I'd steer clear to be honest. I know also I'm paying 3 euro a month for mine so check your contract.
17. The 2 nights before last I had very ordinary dreams for me. First one involving a cover up of the 9-11 attacks being an attack on the Jews, the second involved escaping to higher ground as a village was washed away by lava, I awoke as the ground was breaking under my feet. So last night I ate quite a bit of cheese, 100g before bed and slept the whole night and don't remember anything, so that's conclusive evidence of absolutely nothing.
18. Boumsong got jumped on in some quarters as soon as he had a bad game, Taylor is a golden god who can do no wrong, again, in some quarters. The problem here is that we both believe the same thing but to different extents. You believe there's racism in football and so do I. I just happen to think it's a noticable minority. And yes if someone is prejudiced against someone because of the colour of their skin or where they are from they will give them less time to prove themselves. The same way that we sometimes let more charismatic or attractive people get away with things we wouldn't let others away with, it's human nature. 32326 I'm sorry, I just don't agree with you that our black players get more stick than our white players (perhaps I should say foreign, and english?) for anything more than their talent. Did O'Brien get stick because he was shite, or Irish? I'm lost 32334 So no one gives black/foreign players more of a hard time?

20. Just out of interest, ignoring the minorities comment, how are women in London so much better off? 32228 Dynamite public transport for a start
