Why can't you see that pic? Here it is: http://www.aveleyman.com/ActorsB/32413.GIF Her name's Gillian Bevan.

"geordie-tinted glasses" Completely unrelated but you've got me thinking, if Geordie was a colour, what colour would it be?

Shepherd and Romanov have come up with 'Manager Swap' for E4. If it's going to be done you know Newcastle will be involved.

British weather tbh.

I found him very likeable. The problem for me was that I always liked him and bought into the (what I now regard to be) bullshit that Robson was saying about him being the perfect young gent. I couldn't understand why so many had a problem with him and I see most of my football on television so I wasn't seeing the same things. So this season I watched him very closely before he went and I couldn't believe what he was doing. It wasn't just bad games, it was a lack of commitment, and shockingly bad, completely ineffectual performances. I think it's unfortunate that in football emotions running very high can cause fans to be blinded and I think it's possible Jenas used the abuse he was getting as an excuse to cop out, blame the fans. That 'goldfish bowl' comment was a none too subtle swipe at Newcastle. At some point his performances went from low confidence to low effort and I don't know when that happened. There's also the issue that Spurs are where Newcastle where a few years ago, it's actually quite funny to listen to their hype with investing in youth, investing in a British core, like they haven't watched Newcastle's journey recently. But if certain pivotal players like Jenas can reach their potential then they'll be more than just hype. So I can't wish him well. He won't make it anyway, he hasn't got the character. When things are going well he may shine but when the going gets tough he hasn't got the bottle. And he's playing for Spurs, not Chelsea so there will be bad times.

I can respect why you might feel that way but you're wrong, in my case anyway.

indeed. Glad he's gone, and should be annoyed if he does alright for Spurs, but it annoyed me to hear he scored earlier today grrr. 48314 I'm glad he's taken points off Man U, I'll be glad if his performances make us another 2 million on the transfer (that's half an Emre!) but his late performances and the way he left showed an utter disrespect for the club so hopefully he'll trip over his ego and snap a cruciate when he's got us the cash.

At what point during that did he start drinking, start turning up drunk or did it become unnacceptable to his employers? If he took over on Monday and got us 3rd spot from this train-wreck of a season, would it be acceptable if he drank too much?
-
It's a unique job, good results turn unproffesionalism into eccentricities. Would you have a manager that injured a staff member with a boot? Dealt with poor performance or mutiny with fisticuffs? Drinking heavily is not too uncommon in their job either.

Absolutely, I'm struggling to see another possible viewpoint!

I agree with you on Bowyer not being a first XI player but I'd have Bramble in ahead of Taylor.

Your bizarre use of ebonics amused me, I decided to have a go.

"French people are probably not much liked in America at the moment." Propaganda campaign may have something to do with that, they also have an aversion to foreigners and niggers. "A lot of Scots don't like English people." Years of oppression. You get a lot of the same thing in Ireland, I'm just lucky enough to realise that you're not Maggie Thatcher and I didn't do anything clever to be born where I was born. "It just happens that a lot of people up here don't like Southerners. That's a fact." See above, there's alot of similarities. "Unfortunately like racist "jokes" the "trusty get out of jail card" is that it's only a bit of fun." You remind me of an inquisitive child. Obviously reasonably intelligent but naive as anything. When you grow up you'll realise that life's a little more complex than you're currently seeing it. If you really want to know about something, read a book (and I don't mean bloody Dan Brown), don't search for the answers to life on a football forum. Without this kind of stuff there'd be no Bill Hicks or anything like him, he was no racist but it was the fuel for his fire. Do you want 'Brave New World', because that's probably the only alternative. Not totally awful, but is it really any better?

Quoted for truth brother. 46938 'sup, my nigga.

Is that because they take out all their misery on message boards and then walk out the front door with a happy face?

Are you still on the blob?

From a neutral perspective, as a foreigner who's lived in England I found the Northerners generally, to be noticeably more polite than the Southerners. The UK and Ireland both fall way short of mainland Europe, though, in my experience. I've also noticed that civility seems to be inversely proportional to sense of humour in most places, your North/South divide bucks that trend.

Settling for a draw in this match is akin to labelling it a 6 pointer, we were robbed of a deserved victory against better opposition after that conjunctivitis nonsense, there are no excuses here. If we don't win this I feel it will be the beginning of a very quick demise for Souness. I think some of you are underestimating how Shepherd views himself as a fan and how the fans, en masse, will react to anything less than 3 points. I'm happy to be corrected though.

I was trying to figure out what HowayTheLads was an anagram there for a second! HTL has his own stalker! Booze fuelled tirade by any chance?

I don't see what this has to do with oranges...

I got that, just trying to avoid a bit of legal trouble for the site by instead offending an entire religion.

your point being? did you know that if you mix blue and yellow together you get green? 47634 I think he means that Jesus Christ died of a cocaine overdose as opposed to too much mescaline or LSD, contrary to popular belief.
