Totally agree re: the fear. When I was younger I did a few things I shouldn't have, and some of the comedowns were fucking horrendous. No-one told me that by the time I hit my mid-twenties those would be known as "hangovers".

I don't really want to get into this debate, I think we all know where we stand, but the only reasons I can see for a sentence are 1 - to take revenge for the victims, 2 - to act as a deterrant to others or 3 - stop her repeating the offence. I can see why people want 1, I just don't agree. I think sometimes 2 & 3 work, just not in this case.
