I'm not really being snobby at all, I've challenged the view that the characters are conceited or the writer is pretentious, if you could give me a reasonale answer as to why it is, then fair enough, if you can't then why call it pretentious? I hate it when people are told they 'don't get it'. That's just fucking taste, people can like what they like for whatever reason. I was at that as well, but in the posh seats (or whatever they call them in Sunderland), when Nobby scored we couldn't help but cheer, and it turned out there was quite a few Newcastle supporters around us. On today's performance I'm not convinced Luque will ever adapt. I'd like to see him along side a top class striker, but he doesn't look like he's working the channels and he's not a centre-forward. I felt more like that at the end of last season, when I felt we obviously had no money for more players and had a truly decimated squad...and then Owen got injured. Recent events have showed that we have money to spend, Roeder's still after FIVE players that we need if we are to go forwards rather than further backwards. I just hope the spending is with reasonably little risk.
