I'm usually one of his supporters but looking at last night's display, he just does not attack the ball in the box. Shearer's retired now, so he can't be blamed for taking up the space, it doesn't look to me that at his age he's suddenly going to get that right. The players are obviously set up to deliver the ball to that kind of player, so there's really no place for Shola in the starting lineup. Also, judging by how people have rated Emre, I must be on my own for feeling that he breaks up Newcastle moves more than any opposing defensive midfielder could. Yes he pulled the strings well last night (particularly second half) against the cream of Latvia, but he gives the ball away more than anyone else and puts pressure on our weak defence. I hope that's just preseason, and that he'll adapt better to the Premiership, but as things stand the bad outweighs the good for me.

My mate (of Indian parentage) has recently had some metal plates in his head thanks to the joys of racial hatred. I'm not really sure what you can say about that unless we're looking at figures. Random violence is, unfortunately, a major problem for everyone now, so no one at all is really integrated, not even the Anglo Saxons. It's certainly odd to me that you actually think there is no muslim integration problem.
