  1. I don't spend much time over there, but you're Dave, aren't you? I also know you're a midget.
  2. They really don't get much better, do they!
  3. If you weren't so sure, you'd swear these things happen more than they're supposed to, wouldn't you? Cheers for the tip, I have Stars installed but haven't used it much, Full Tilt may be my favourite layout, and eventually I'd like to get a read on where the worst players play, on average.
  4. The two aren't mutually exclusive, like most things, the truth is probably somewhere in between.
  5. Yeah, I'm a bit pissed off, like, I wasn't expecting a golden era under Roeder by any means, I just thought we could watch some decent footie again and maybe hit the top six. He's an above average manager who can get the team to perform to more than the sum of its parts, but he's basically gone and sawn his own legs off this transfer window, and whatever way I look at it, by the time the next window is open, even if the funds were available, the season would already be well over.
  6. Harmison's not going to be too pleased with being put in it.
  7. Which was the recent match where Emre came out as if he'd had an earful, and the first time he had the ball and was struggling to find a pass he made movements as if to indicate "you see, I can't make the pass if no one's making the runs". It was pretty obvious there'd been words in the dressing room and one could easily surmise there are two factions in it... I didn't read too much into it before anyone starts.
  8. See you at the European Championships then. Are there still a fair whack of shite players? Have you placed yet?
  9. You love them now they're nabbing krazies tbh. You're right like, they need to be monitored to be successful, I've no idea of the logistics of making that happen. Software to parse out the ones that don't need human attention at any given moment should certainly be being looked at.
  10. It was many moons ago when I was a wee slip of a lad! Nearly got caught by the milkman one morning. Never whipped my pants up from round my ankles quicker! Did he give you some cream?
  11. A few of my mates when I was a student, stole some signs from some road works and made off with them in a wheel-barrow. They were apprehended halfway across a green when a police car came skidding up beside them. They'd just followed them through town on the CCTV. Kerr-aaazy!
  12. I'm sure Fish loves that we're keeping this thread alive btw, and just to twist the knife a little, PokerPants was soooo right!
  13. You have to, I had an exact replica of that situation yesterday, mine was Sevens full of Kings, I think. But if you look at the play after the match and know you did the right thing, that's all that counts. I assume this was 10+1 SnGs? What's the step up like? I'll play you soon btw, you'll get your comeuppance with the rest of them.
  14. Do a likl bit dance, they love that. I think I'm in favour of them.
  15. Oh, and watching the big boys play is great fun, I love that the pros are playing 2/3 tables at once, often different rules.
  16. I only started playing the play money SnGs on Party yesterday, I've made myself place/win 3 in a row before I can make the step up, the first 3-5 players are a complete joke on play money, but I'm impressed with the quality after that. I should have 3 in a row today, but I figure if I'm still learning on the play tables, I'm not ready for anything else. Books haven't arrived yet but I'm reading some good stuff online. I wanted to get in touch with someone who I'd already played after a game, and the observer chat has been temporarily disabled on Party, but I figured out how to msg him. Had a really good heads up with him, learned a lot, so wanted to play him again.
  17. What would you play for PokerPants? I might be up for it in a couple of weeks. 2 questions for the Poker posse: - anyone ever used any softare like Poker Mate? - can you add friends and chat within any of the online poker rooms? I'm think particularly of Party at the moment.
  18. Bet you're a better driver for it.
  19. The term "Republican" has evolved in Ireland to include anyone who belives in a 32 county Republic. To say that terrorism, or support of terrorist actions is implicit is just wrong, it's that simple, probably the only simple thing about the whole fucking affair. If you want to talk about the political arm of a terrorist organisation, that's a different matter.
  20. Aye, not only do I not support terrorists, I don't even believe in a united Ireland, quite a common sentiment in the Republic. Doesn't stop me understanding the obvious difference between a Republican and a terrorist.
