I think you're right, but when we get to the point where a journalist in a serious paper doesn't know his own craft, it's a little disturbing.
-
That was my thinking, the etymology backs me up, and I'm having difficulty seeing how it's in some way a clever twist of the original meaning.

Just the high concentration (Jesus Wept) of Jewish people in Connecticut.

Strange gaffe from a journalist, Shirley?
-
That's shocking, especially in the US, possibly even more so in Connecticut.

I don't think it's any exaggeration to call it the greatest technological advancement of our age.

Crown of thorns tbh.

I thought they just liked the way they go round and round and round and round.

Don't know why you're laughing, "the windmill" very nearly made it tbh.

I'd probably have a listen to what he had to say.

Looks like someone's vandalised the Aer Lingus logo tbh.

Every time I see him he seems to be getting a bit more stuck in, knocking the ball on, fighting a little more physically to taking it on the chest; next Alan Shearer tbh. I want ChocChip to write the match reports for the matches I miss. I want TopToon to do a poo on his own head.

I mean the ventures that someone has had to undertake so that every company you've ever worked for could exist. What professional of any intelligence or importance could fail to understand that? I reckon Rob's one of these unemployed types who sits around watching The Discovery Channel all day and thinks he's an intellectual . Ghosthunters is his favourite.
-
Rob, what would happen if that logic was applied to any venture? Starting a company, or any career other than a job type job? Just FYI, anyone who actually knows what you think you know has you made. It's embarrassing.

This is only about.com, but I've verified it in a couple of places, so I think it's good.:

I think she's figured that out by now. Started listening to this, the music ROCKS!

This appears to agree with you (EDIT: Actually, not quite), I seem to remember someone saying it's variable, but probably safe to get used to a pattern. Gemmill, that package arrived today, will have a look this evening. Cheers, you're a star. PS The girlfriend just said you have girly handwriting!

Just upset you don't like my obviously superior wordsmanship tbh.

I don't want to get into the intricacies of it, but put simply, it's not "ours" anymore. There are people who want a variety of things and moving it from the UK to the Republic would create as many problems as it would solve, and that is the key issue, ensuring as many people as possible inside the borders of NI are happy with whatever system of government they are under. There's also the small fiscal matter of whether Ireland could keep it in the manner to which it has become accustomed. The ideal situation would be for it to become an independent country, but I'm not sure that's economically viable, which is of course what started the whole mess in the first place.
