  1. In the same way that it isn't a prerequisite for winning at anything, YES.
  2. Not many people would tbh.
  3. Snap. Am I the only one who thought this was going to be a watersports thread? Disappointing tbh.
  4. Thinks he's Marty McFly. I've been here: Bodie Ghost Town.... which was canny interesting. It's a town that people settled in when they first came west and which they pretty much all just upped and left. The old saloon, schoolhouse, hooer house and that are all still there. People's houses an'all. It was supposed to be rough as owt, with shootouts in the street and all that. The place is meant to have a curse an'all - if you take anything away that you find there, you're meant to have a pretty shit time of it. Anyway, it's like being in the Wild West, so I thought I'd mention it. Dixons could save a few bob on security with that.
  5. I'm just glad it was dark in there.
  6. Aye, Renton's right, there's plenty of skill involved. Gemmill's sounding a bit like Rob W in training here tttt. I was, and still am, so shit at beat 'em ups, it makes the baby Jesus weep.
  7. The only context in which it makes any sense is if they're commenting on the way it was played, as I think the better players mean it (and don't say it too often); but when people say it just for the cards dealt I assume they're talking to God, as it has fuck all to do with anyone else.
  8. I honestly reckon you may be getting your opinion of theatre from the Simpsons. Some of the greatest writers were also the greatest playwrights, is that just a coincidence? I'm afraid to start mentioning names for fear of what your reponse might be. "Beckett, he's no Oliver Stone tbh" etc.
  9. He's not listed on the PhysioRoom injury table any more: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_pre...njury_table.php I think it's more likely that he's retired from football, than recovered from injury. Even if a miracle has happened, does anyone in their right mind think he'll start, given how careful Roeder's been with him? On a more serious note, Harper and Carr are listed there as out until the 15th?
  10. Jesus, I hadn't noticed that, nearly had a heart attack; bit more subtlety next time, please. This thread reminds me a little of SLPs story about the September Christmas tree...
  11. Wait 'til his Mam gets him the How To Theatre book for Christmas, he'll hate the cinema and love theatre!
  12. I barely went, I barely hung out with the students, I was mainly off my face. I'd probably have more time for KRAZIES now tbh.
  13. That's Luque on the left.
  14. That really is taking the piss. Why? Read the bold bit, funny image.
  15. Some of those women at Uni, particularly Indian ones, Jesus Wept! Just to see the other side of the coin, my mother was reasonably relaxed about drinking, even more so about marijuana (I got hash pipes for Christmas from 16 onwards). No one went off on one more than I did in college.
  16. That really is taking the piss.
  17. People who manage to subtly conceal the fact that they're plastered should probably be left alone. I would think the test is fairly straight forward in most cases.
  18. Fulchester United more like I might be persuaded to play with them...
  19. How about reducing the 1st one to 15/16 and enforcing the second one strongly. There are plenty of countries with a lower drinking age than the UK without the associated problems and the US has a serious binge drink culture with a higher age limit.
  20. I don't get it. It was the tall one and the round one arguing that reminded me of them for some reason, nothing as abstract as tights.
  21. I do, but that's good advice, thank you; I think I need something like a $600 BR for that. I've been very disciplined so far, I'm still on 3.40 SnGs at the moment and stayed in the play money for quite a while. I'll no doubt start with the lowest available and go from there, currently finishing off Small Stakes Hold 'em - Miller/Sklansky/Miller which is a good read on that level. I'd recommend it as worthwhile even if people aren't planning on playing Limit.
  22. Because it's invariably unrealistic, affected, stagy, overly dramatic shite. Your analogies are getting worse btw. Do you seriously have that much of a problem with live theatre?
  23. Is it working? Try working out the price of your designer labels in terms of African babies' lives. That's real poverty btw, and why I have limited sympathy with the quality of education in comprehensives. I think while adversity brings out the best in people, the social welfare net seems to do the opposite. Not that I'm suggesting doing away with it.
  24. OK Ive had a look at sixth sense, I dont really trouble the software forum much. Its not really any use for tournaments its just for table selection on ring games. You would need to get a big database of hands before it would do you much good If you have got pokertracker you probably want to have a look at PAHUD, which is a real time heads up display which shows vpip etc of opponents. It can be useful to get reads on who is loose or tight which is obviously good for knowing who to steal against etc I'm going to give 1/2 limit a go, so that's what I'd be interested in that for. I'm only demoing Poker Tracker at the moment (thousand hand limit), but I think I'll end up getting it, I think I've already spotted some leaks, after a casual glance, but I'd need a few more thousand hands in there before I confirmed anything. I'll have a look into this HUD business, I read something about them, but it is all really rather complicated sometimes. Will check out PAHUD, cheers.
