Happy birthday, baby!

Haven't been, but I'll wager it beats the shit out of Waukegan, Illinois.
-
I'll autonym you in a minute!

When you do read this, cheers for the recommendation of Sirens of Titan; finished today, excellent read.

When you talk about the day's events, you are talking about the events of a single day, and yet you use an s, because it denotes posession, the same goes for 2 weeks' duration etc.

Cyprus!

I'm having one; how much would it cost to have a movement sensor that plays "Shearer, Shearer!" and the St James' roar blasted out of a loud-speaker, every time a mourner walks within 15 feet of it? Anything to disrupt the sanctity of death tbh.

I've posted on here quite a few times after copious amounts of alcohol. It could explain away some of the shite that I post, but alas most of that is posted during the daytime. I honestly think I would die before I got to the level of drunkness you describe, could I really be that pedantic?

No different to wearing a skullcap the size of an elephant's diaphragm.

I downloaded one off t'internet too, and never got any further than looking at what was involved on the video. All I know is, didn't look too hard, middle-aged bint wasn't worth caning the Gemmill over. Sound like the same one?

Can people actually get this fucked or is it some sort of attention seeking thing? I thought maybe Patrokles was taking the piss out of the lasses that do it. I will pay good money to anyone who will let me in on the secret of getting this wasted, sarrskly!

August for a boy, pronounced like the adjective, not the month. Seriously, can anyone beat that?

I never really claimed to be smart. Just really fucking awesome. p.s. you still dodge my question admirably. p.p.s. I see no insults. Your persecution complex is worse than mine! In a grown-up world you suggesting I canb't grasp the complexities of a simple argument is an insult, I don't actually have to wait until you call me wee-face. I've responded to you a couple of times, you just choose to read my statement at the lowest possible level.

What I want to see right now is a lot of hands, but it's probably tougher to read people. It's still pretty boring, so you'd probably have time, I just find it quite difficult to concentrate, it's something I need to work on. Cheers for the advice PokerPants, I will step it up this weekend.

Gold! Sorry Gemmill, but I'm making it my internet project for the year that that one sticks. I may regret it...
-
Why would someone as smart as you need to resort to insults. Strange..it's almost as if you're not as smart as you think you are.

Not really, if your at the wrong part of the gig thats your fucking trouble so get off your arse and go where you can see and hear properly If you PM me your email address I will send you a bag of these: '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' I've got shit-loads of them!

Indeed! Renton's right, Gemmill is wrong but its been entertaining reading the thread! Obviously a "spastic button basher" or whatever it was Renton called Gemmill has a slight chance of snatching a victory against an expert but that's the same as an FA cup uspet. Get the expert and basher to play a number of times and the expert will cane the "Gemmill" pretty much every time. I was ok at street fighter type games but on the amiga i'd cane anyone at SWOS, Kick off 2 or Speedball 2 and Gemmil can do as much random bashing as he likes to no avail Only in the throes of passion tbh. And "cane the Gemmill"? Starting to worry about this place...

What a vague argument, are you having trouble backing up your claim that skill is not pre-requisite as in other sports? So what we're now going to argue is whether it's closer in comlexity to Chess or Cock/Muff/Bumhole? I've never met anyone who plays Street Fighter at the level of a Grand Master tbh.

Exactly what I was thinking! I got told this as a true story, although I'd be more inclined to beleive it's an urban legend, really: Bono is at a U2 concert in Glasgow when he asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands.Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone... "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies." A voice from near the front pierces the silence... "Well, stop bloody clapping then!"

In the same way that it isn't a prerequisite for winning at anything, YES. No, but especially. Take a chess grandmaster against someone who has never played before. There's no way the GM would lose. Take a professional football side playing a team comprised of people who have never played football. Take a javelin thrower who has trained for years, compared to someone who has never thrown one before. I could give innumerable other examples. If you said to those people: 'look, just: move the pieces/kick the ball in the goal/throw the fucking thing,' they would not be anywhere close to competing. In a beat-em-up, if you give the d-pad to someone who has never played before, and say 'mate, just press all the fucking buttons in a random order as quickly as you can,' they would stand a fairly good chance of victory. You think a player who'd played Street Fighter for as many hours as a professional footballer or chess grandmaster had played their respective games, would have problems with a button basher?

That's a fine advertisement for VC; I'm steering well clear. I'm turning a profit 4-tabling baby SnGs. I think I have a knack for bullying children, don't really want to step up to the 11s.
