I'm not concerned about his motivation or even the majority of his work, I'm concerned about the impact of that 20%. The reality is he has ended up in a position of political power and we have to deal with the impact of the situation rather than anything to do with him personally. It's exactly as you put it, he's potentially a gateway drug for even intelligent people being swayed to the right. I completely agree with you about the state of the current dialogue on both sides btw

As an aside, he's from the same town as my brother who's turned out to be a proper racist. I wanted to reason with him and made a small effort to do so but ultimately I just cut him off. I have sympathy for your arguments in this thread wrt appealing to his sort but it did feel kind of pointless trying to get through to him.

This is the thing that concerns me and I'm conflicted. On one hand, he makes some good points but on the other, could such an eloquent and compelling speaker ultimately be more damaging than someone like Trump? He's not some internet nerd sitting in his mother's basement, he has education and stuff. I'm troubled that he's in bed with Rebel Media because, to be honest, my impression is that they're more between Fox and Alex Jones than they are like the Daily Mail.

If it's possible for someone to merge all these posts, it would probably be appreciated.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-professor-jordan-peterson-s-research-media This was apparently set up by a far right group (getting the link for that now) and he was far more complicit in it than I initially thought, looking at the rewards.

Awwww, they look so happy!

So what's up with Jordan Peterson accepting funding from the far right? @Rayvin The thinking man's racist?

This idiot believes in earthquakes!

Rather do it in the voice of Eddie and try to get Charnley fired at least.

I'd rather it was an IED.

I'd stay at Newcastle forever after and sign free-agent adios for the reserves on £250k per week.

We're well beyond the first sign of madness tbh.

Can we just post pictures of kittens or something until the next match/season/owner?

Oops! Then again, one less Tory voter...

I honestly reckon the more Ashley feels under-siege the more he wants to fight for it. Ego bigger than his fat fucking head.
-
Aye, that's the thing that concerns me. BAU I think we're basically pinning our hopes on a massive heart attack, and I would fucking celebrate it.
-
I admire your optimism but I worry it'll be business as usual even if (when) Rafa goes. Do people reckon the attendance could seriously dip if Rafa goes? I'd love it to happen and finally get rid of Ashley.
-
Finally willing to accept Ashley will never learn from his mistakes. I know, I know, that makes me almost as slow a learner as him. Honestly think I'm too depressed to work today. Fanks, Mike.
