  1. Cheers for this, though maybe I should be asking you again by the time I upgrade. I'd probably go for the cheapest option there as I have an aversion to nVidia.
  2. And do we really want to know the deep-seated issues of the fuck-ups that make up this forum?
  3. 6-ways makes it sound rather sexier than the reality. I mean psychological flaws, but I don't know how deeply revelatory they are. The main one is that I need my brain to be constantly engaged, and there is some underlying anxiety beyond the boredom. This is not in the least bit unusual, except that as someone who meditates at least half an hour a day, I thought I had it "beaten". So it's another opportunity to figure out wtf is wrong with me. Need a psychology thread tbh.
  4. There is one in general chat somewhere if you can be bothered to bump it. Or, as you say, next time we're on PS4.
  5. Oh yeah, I mean I'd literally kill myself if I didn't have a little risk in my day-to-day job. But it's a lot more boring than it used to be. I also had to switch from my preferred heads-up (1-on-1) games to 6 man tables which is like watching paint dry in comparison. It's made me evaluate some flaws in my character though, so that's always nice.
  6. Hatred is defo way too strong a word, until match day at least. Aye, that was pretty much my takeaway too.
  7. I can bore you to death at some point about it. It's all got very technical in the last couple of years, a lot of the fun stuff is gone. It's a bunch of off-table work and then at the tables you just know what combination of hands to bluff/value bet in most spots and are pretty much autopiloting. Just takes the excitement out of it when you know that your bluff is correct regardless of whether you get called or not. Though you should still be playing exploitatively vs weaker players. And I'm already boring myself to death.
  8. Only teams I really have a proper hatred for are Spurs and Manchester United. Oh and Huddersfield can fuck off back down too, though I can't really remember why.
  9. Just checked and I thought I'd spend ~€350 on it, but turns out I only spend about half that, so that'll explain it. I haven't even overclocked it. To be honest, I don't play anything graphically-challenging on PC. I feel like that's what consoles are for - no hassle plug-n-play. It's probably unfair on the current state of things, but I was put off a long time ago when it seemed like I was spending 60% of my gaming time trying to get the feckin' thing to work.
  10. Mine doesn't hold up too well considering it's newer. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R7-370-vs-GeForce-GTX-970 Way overpowered for the old-style point-n-clicks that I play though.
  11. I expect nothing less than 4 graphics card in tandem from @Ant.
  12. Hmmm, looks like I might have the Radeon equivalent of that. Maybe I should actually try putting my PC through a stress test with some high-end game. I know it fails the VR test on Steam.
  13. I spent £1600 on mine and don't consider it a gaming PC! I thought you needed to be spending a grand plus on graphics cards alone for it to fall into that category.
  14. If we're counting all the times we were right about a player being shite we're all football geniuses tbh.
  15. Mine was top of the line 5 years ago (apart from a shite graphics card that I've since upgraded to a mediocre one). I've felt almost no need to upgrade except there's some slightly more complex calcs I'd like to run with a poker solver. That's getting into cloud server territory though. It also kept giving out about over-temperature cpu and then just stopped one day, so I assume the sensor melted.
  16. I've seen enough to thank my lucky stars that I wasn't taken in by your huckster sales pitch. WoW tbh.
  17. And then you ask why people go for the XBONE!
  18. I've always felt this but my brief flirtation with both I'd say NO is quite a bit better (though still dogshite).
  19. Harsh thinking the mackems won't be back up in all that time.
  20. Aye, he's somehow gone from Villa relegation standard to first defender on the teamsheet under Rafa.
  21. Thought he was excellent vs Stoke. It's amazing what Rafa can do with bang average looking defenders (see Clark).
