  1. I was watching Manure last night in the Champions League, it suddenly occured to me maybe Baba and Bramble got sent off on purpose to save themselves from the humiliation of Sunday at Old Trafford. He has spent his whole career not getting sent off, why suddenly now, also got injured last Thursday.
  2. My thoughts too. Did either of you expect us to be challenging for the title then? Are you stupid? Or is that serious question by someone who is deluded?
  3. Thats always the case in general with Manure, if they play badly every team members comes into form against us. One of them will probably score a contender for goal of the season aswell.
  4. We could be in 17th by Monday, even if we get a draw we could be 15/16th. Manure are known for putting a few past us. Wigan even have a game in hand. 12 Newcastle United 6 2 1 3 6 8 -2 7 13 Manchester City 6 2 1 3 5 8 -3 7 14 Wigan Athletic 5 1 2 2 5 6 -1 5 15 West Ham United 6 1 2 3 6 9 -3 5 16 Middlesbrough 6 1 2 3 5 10 -5 5 17 Tottenham Hotspur 6 1 1 4 2 8 -6 4
  5. I agree. I've gave up on him. Yep. Me too. Got the attributes if you ignore the fact that he never uses his head. I've always hoped he would become a good player because he should be. His whole game has always been one of not using his brain, when he has concentration lapses thats what its about, he can't stay alert. When he passes the ball long too often , he is posing and can't use his brain to tell him to play short passes and vary his game, never mind the fact that the short safe pass for someone in his position is the sensible ball and the one he should play 99% of the time. His passing ability is awesome, but he should keep it for when it counts and it would be more effective if it wasn't expected. Such things are basic kids stuff. His tackle on Saturday showed his lack of brains too. Roeder is the first manager he has had who was a defender, and a captain/talking defender too, so if he can't spell it out to him then the only way he will go now is down. I've had enough. I think thats the best thing you have written. I do wonder though about Roeders comments about tiredness. Not necessarily physical but mental tiredness. His mistakes do tend to happen at later in the game although I am sure he has fucked up early in them. Not sure there is anything you can do about that. Despite his size he is still the only centre half with anything approaching decent speed. He played very well initially under Roeder and I thought he was getting somewhere. Like you say, enough is enough. One thing is certain we need to get some pace and strength in that back four. Not sure Emre helps them either - good ball player but we need some presence. Liverpool looked like bloody giants in the same way Arsenal used to. They have athletes in midfield and all can play. That Sissoko is looking a very good player and if we used the wide men properly we could do with someone imposing like him alongside Parker. Not our usual game plan but protecting that lot at the back has to be thought about. Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal with Gilberto and Vieria were never shy in using big fellas with talent. Man Utd had Keane and he was more than enough for anyone - in my view the best premiership player ever - as much as I hate to say it. We look fragile without Titus never mind with him. We need a leader back there as has been said by many, someone who loves to get stuck in, a CB version of Parker, once we have that Taylor or Titus would play better to challenge for top 6. To challange for top 4 we need two quality CB`s with Taylor and Titus as back up. Ramage and and Moore are just poor in general. We also need a decent LB or RB not an aging Dwarf and a cheaper comedy LB .
  6. Although Bramble was poor again as usual I am in amazement that no one has nothing to say about Moore`s poor clearence and the fact he lost track and failed to mark Cahill for the goal. It was Moores man that had a free header. Bramble was given Johnson to mark, Johnson didn`t score. Carr, Ramage and Moore gave the ball away in ridiculous places on many occassions yesterday that should have led to goals for Everton. Regardless of how crap Bramble was yesterday you lot need to see the bigger picture. There were 2 points raised yesterday that i have been saying for sometime by people who have been in the game along time. If we keep emptying midfield like we do any defence will struggle especially a below average one. Also if the fans keep holding there breath and murmoring everytime anyone of our defenders get the ball it will do nothing but encourage the other team.
  7. 8. Agree with that. Parker does have a very good touch and energy. Would like to see him, Dyer, Duff and Solano in midfield. Bit of pace and experience there. Also sees the Dyer, Solano link up back with someone up front with pace. Makes a big difference. Would like to see the entire back four shipped and replaced as well and that isnt going to happen. Nice to see that the best 3 players at the club are all fucked. Its the bad luck that comes with wearing the NUFC shirt for some reason.
  9. I can't see why not, Arsenal don't play with a big man up front and IMO they play the best football in the league, Wenger has said before that he doesn't play a target man as players will often play long balls rather than keep it on the ground. But then again Arsenal don't have Bramble twatting it upfield every time he gets the ball. Think Bramble's days are close to numbered now, to be fair. they would be if peter ramage showed talent or steven taylor justified anywhere near the hype. Neither have I'd prefer either to Bramble, though. His first-team days aren't entirely assured now. That is quite illogical. Bramble is poor at times but to prefer Ramage is just bizarre. Could be wrong but smacks of anyone but him. Believe me Ramage will get murdered at centre half this season. He is also more than capable of fucking up - sadly he has done it this season and against our opponents on Sunday, amongst others.None of the above are the answer but Bramble is more accomplished than the other two at present by a country mile despite his obvious flaws. Until you've seen Ramage play more than two games (in which he's done better than Bramble) at centre-back, I find it hard to work out how you've come to the conclusion that you have. Mr. logic. Bramble has been very poor this season and inconsistant most of his career, but it doesn`t put him in the plain out right shit catorgory as Ramage. I would rather have someone completely brilliant every game but we havn`t so please compare him to what we have. When Souness was in charge and when Roeder first took over Ramage messed up about 10 games in a row leading to goals adding up to more than Bramble has made every 5 games. Selective memories and ignorant judging imo. Also how many important goals has Ramage chipped in with since he has worn an NUFC shirt? Bramble had one against Chelsea getting us into Europe and one getting us into the UEFA in the last few games alone. Again I want to reitorate ( if thats how its spelt ) this doesn`t mean I wouldn`t prefer a better CB its looking at what we have and comparing.
  10. Given - On the basis he plays Owen - Skill Dyer - The difference he makes when he does play.
  11. My home town team Ipswich should be beating the Makems this afternoon.

    Avatars

A cartoon version of my car. The misses keeps moaning about the girly picture ones I did have.
  13. Yeah your right Baba could have easily got sent off, we could have lost the game, oh wait we did anyway. Joking aside I agree it was stupid but deserved.
  14. Great turn and strike but more of a goal of the month contender than greatest goal ever contender. Mebbies it was his first ever football match Greatest goal ever was Shearers volley against Everton.
  15. Kuyt pushed and held him a bit more than he should get away with, baba knowing Halsey probably knew he would have deal with it himself. It wasn`t a punch, if you call that punch i feel sorry for you if you get in a fight, it was a push in the face to get free from being held.
  16. He celebrated with Reina to basically say look your not the only dodgy keeper that ends up looking like a total cock.
  17. Baba and Parker gave everything last night. Baba is funny as when he gets pushed defending a corner, when he slapped Kuyt in the face reminded me of when he took Cahill out. Parker was out to impress Mclaren in the crowd. Harper was doing really well until he joined the Luton goalkeeper hall of shame poor bastard.
  18. The voices in my head.........................
  19. Don`t forget the 18 past and present prem managers not named tonight for legal reasons. Will be passed on to the FA they reckon on the news. Souness has to be one of those. I reckon Roeder is squeeky clean.
  20. I don`t think many have given him the room behind yet to use it. Also he isn`t 100% fit yet. Maybe he can run like shit off a shovel but maybe he also knows its best not to for the sake of it, risking hammys.
  21. I think if we have to have any makeshift centre half, it should Be Sibierski. tbh. Not a piss take. He's tall, can head the ball, and may actually be able to mark an opposition player (unlike Bramble) I would be elated if Titus never put on a Newcastle shirt again. Yeah it would have been great had he not being playing for us say from the beginning of May, then he wouldn`t have scored the goal that got us in the intertoto against Chelsea and he wouldn`t have scored the only goal in 2 legs against Ventspils that got us into the Uefa. Then again at least if we didn`t get into Europe due to Bramble not being here we would have maybe beat Fulham a whole 1-0. Grow up the whole team was shite that day, one goal against Fulham hanging on in the last 8 mins. I`m not defending his poor marking that day but we are shite and you can`t blame a whole team game on him. A player probably valued these days at 2 million when the rest of the squad of so called star players couldn`t score more than one goal. I love how Bramble yet again costs us and all you can do is blame the rest of the team, did they make him once again loose concentration? As you can see in bold i`m not defending his poor game or games in general. Football is about opinions and imo its a team game. Take Liverpool for example there goal keeper is good for the odd fuck up or two in a game as are a few players in a few teams, shit happens. A better team on the day would have maybe not let the cross in ( Ramage ) or not let the ball past the near post. Maybe if we retained the ball better in midfield we could have protected the slim lead. Maybe if we were playing better we would have been in front at home by more than 1 poxy goal to a shite team that can`t win away from home. I`m sure if it was 2-0 or 3-0 it would have killed the game and Fulham wouldn`t have been trying so hard in the last 5 mins. My main point is why do you lot need a scape goat week in week out ? In my honest opinion putting friendships aside we do need to replace Bramble and Co with better CB`s if we are to get in the top 4 again.

Exactly why Butt should be on from the start tbh. I can see Emre struggling against the likes of Sissoko and Alonso because of his size. Either that or he'll lose his rag. I would have Butt on to stick the boot in and keep them in check. Yeah I suppose, at first I was thinking of the negative of losing Emre`s passing but Butt has been a different player this season, spraying some nice passes about.

As I said in the predictions for the hammers thread, we look a better side with Duff in his natural position and Milner on the right. Zoggy at his age and experience is better as a high impact player coming off the bench. He doesn`t seem to be consistant for a 90 min period. Everyone prefering Zoggy getting in the starting line up sacraficing a player in their natural position are being too loyal to the Zog. His time will come. I wasn`t as impressed with Emre as most were last season. The last 2 matches i`ve seen him he has been the quality Emre I thought we were getting when we bought him. As for Butt I think he will be better coming on for Parker when he is on a yellow and last warning...its bound to happen with the size of the Liverpool team out muscling us. Or if we take a lead bring Butt on for Martins leaving Shola or Sib as a long striker.
  24. Anyone know if Shola will be fit? 1-2 NUFC win. I think Glenn is going with Duff left, Milner right and Baba is back. Will look a bit better from the start, i think its a waste putting Duff on the right. Zoggy plays better off the bench aswell.
