1. Anger Over Crucifix Ban Updated: 14:09, Tuesday December 06, 2005 A row has broken out after a teenager was banned from wearing a crucifix at a school where Sikhs can carry ceremonial daggers. Sam Morris, 16, was reportedly sent home from Sinfin Community School, Derby, after she refused to remove a gold cross on a necklace. She was told wearing a crucifix was not compulsory for Christians, so the necklace breached dress codes. Other pupils are allowed to wear kirpan daggers and metal bracelets, as they are classed as religious symbols, said the Daily Express. GCSE student Sam missed two days of study before her mother Debra Saunders, 37, allowed her to return to school without the necklace. Christian and Conservative MP Anne Widdecombe insisted a crucifix was not costume jewellery. She said: "To persecute a young girl like this for her religious beliefs, whatever they are, is unacceptable." Sam, who had worn the necklace for the past three years, told Sky News the cross was not a "fashion accessory" and she felt "naked without it". Sinfin's deputy head Howard Jones said: "Most of our pupils understand allowing Sikhs to wear a bracelet is a compulsory part of their religion. "Christianity does not require followers to wear a specific symbols." Derby City Council said the ban was lawful but questioned whether it was "desirable". Once again the politcal correctness gang insult the intellegence of the British public, political correctness is a cancer in British society, along with banning the displaying of our national flag these fools merely give groups like the BNP a louder voice. The sooner we as a nation reject political correctness the better, as I believe it will be our undoing.
2. I totally disagree, I think he would do a great job for us. 64835 Make a good manager of Shearers bar, aye. And they could always pay him in drink 64838 I see him as being one of the rare managers that can actually take players and make them better, rather than one that can only achieve success with the cheque book.

6. Personally I found it very disturbing, purely for the reason I found myself too much like Nathan Barley than was humanly comforatble.
7. Word has it that Gazza made an attempt to buy the club from the new owner this morning, this was rejected, presumably Gazza considered his position untenable following this rejection.

This kind of Del ? I think you should go for a Dell instead, much more reliable than the ones from Nelson Mandela house, Peckham !
10. Wanderley Luxemburgo has been sacked by Real Madrid this evening, I believe this could do us a favour in terms of a quality replacement for Souness, surely the likes of Otmar Hitzfeld and Paul Le Guen will be hot favourites for the vacancy at the Bernabeu. It seems both Hitzfeld and Le Guen have been waiting in the wings for either Manchester United or Real Madrid, so I think which ever is appointed will leave the other open to other offers, including the hot seat at Newcastle. Now we just need to sack Souness !
11. I want to see a 5-0 win but is that going to happen? I very much doubt it. If we do win I have a felling it will be completely undeserved. 64043 I think it'll be one extreme or the other. We'll hammer them 3 or 4, or we'll lose 2-1. 64049 Only a sh*te penalty away from being spot-on. 64164 Or on the other hand you could say you called it totally wrong
12. I must admit I'm finding all this lamenting over George Best rather hard to swallow, I wouldn't mind if he had been held in this sainted regard before his death, prior to his passing he was just an alcoholic, womaniser, wastrell, who ballesd up his career when it all laid ahead of him. Now in death he's been put on a pedistal between Princess Diana and Mother Teresa, and I'm feeling somewhat cynical about it, I think the icing on the cake was seeing Mark Lawrensen in tears on football-focus. A sad time agreed, but its all gone way too far in my opinion.
13. Monty Python stylee?? RUN AWAY!!! 63810 with a bloke with two halves of a coconut imitating a horse following him !
14. We need to move quickly if this story is believed: Clicky here Le Guen interested in Rangers job.
