Owen - Small striker whos pace troubles defenders and benefits from Shearer's knockdowns Bellamy - Small striker whos pace troubles defenders and benefited from Shearer's knockdowns It's impossible to compare individual players because their games are not identical, certainly not possible in four words. Perhaps players are bought for their own attributes rather than as a direct replacement?

O'Neill is 100% Freddies choice. 103685 Without turning this into an O'Neill/rumour wankfest have you heard anything about an appointment recently?
-
But his source is Glasgow told him that O'Neill was ready to take over?
-
It proves how much a shitty chairman can fuck up a club and quickly, as you ask, rather than keep them on a good keel and hold the same ambitions... 103607 So Leeds' predicament has nothing to do with the poor signings O'Leary made when Ridsdale released the funds then? It's all down to the chairman is it? 103608 It had a lot to do with the ludicrous way the chairman financed O'Leary's signings, which were for a large part good signings, if overpriced but the manager doesn't decide the fee. 103620 Plus he bought them on all sorts of buy now, pay twice as much later type deals. Risdale was an apalling chairman, but I don't see how that is relevant to Shepherd's chairmanship. 103625 The comparison was made between FS and Risdale, I was simply saying that FS certainly comes out on top in that fight. Its been said 1000 times before but FS has done a good job on the financial side of things, which is becoming more apparent due to the fact we've no European football. As for the timings of appointments/dismissals I don't think anyone can realistically defend him there (apart from LM obviosuly.)

Exactly, Souness has lowered our expectations so much that any improvement would be seen as a miracle.

Aye but you have to look at what he has achieved in the past and how he is remembered by those clubs, good managers aren't usually hated by the fans of their former club for footballing reasons. I just think it would be a huge risk to appoint him as manager though if we contine in this rich vein of form until the end of the season I could change my mind.
-
Lets not forget that Trevor Brooking was in charge for 3 games and earned 7 of those points, 35 points from 35 games isn't impressive at all. I know he had health problems at West Ham but when their supporters seem to have a particular hatred of him then you have to ask why? As has already been said this is still the honeymoon period, he'd have to keep impressing until the end of the season to justify a chance at it full time.
-
To be fair to him that was after a bottle of Bells, he did well to be still standing.
-
One deluded mackem's shortlist.
-
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
-
Aye but then what happens when he tells us to fuck off and goes on a free somewhere? If Dyer can play for a few months without an injury then he becomes a very valuable asset.
-
Any word on when this appointment will be?
-
Just got three years, bit harsh for just talking a bit of shite.
-
Keep kicking them until they run out of subs.
-
first of all they were away to Middlesbrough 98122 Aye it was obviously the cauldron of hate that is the Riverside that put Chelsea off, usually more chance of being distracted by flying season ticket books than the 'passionate' Boro 'faithful'.

Fat girls you'd still *take out for a nice meal

Lord have mercy! 98078 When it comes to the fat birds all you want is a good rack and to know that she's a right dorty bitch. Fat chicks have no need for class. -
Aye like you say we've more of a chance if they're still in the CL, I fancy them against Barca, especially at home.

Blatantly filling his pants tbh Must have heard all the media stuff about us being a great cup team. 97884 Apparently we're the only team other than Arsenal to have beaten Chelsea in the cup in the last 7 years. 97890 We won it three times in the fifties an all. 97894 I don't get your point. We didn't beat Chelsea in any of those years did we? My point was that a Chelsea fan might see us (somewhat legitimately) as a bit of a bogey team. 97901 Our record attendance is against Chelsea too. They must be shitting themselves tbh. 97902 Also a midweek game, coincidence? I think not.
-
A slight consolation is that they play on Sunday 19th then according to the BBC we play on Tuesday night, though with their squad I suppose they can field two different teams and we'll undoubtedly play the strongest.
-
Well we beat them last year in the cup, anything is possible I suppose.
-
Well to be fair we were due a tough tie given the quality of opposition we've faced so far.
-
Away to Chelsea, shite!

Love that clip, pity his career has gone down the shitter since he left us. Looks to be on his way out of Ibrox in the summer.
