The whole Milner debacle was blatently just a scam to rob you of 50p, Freddy isn't so slow.

Is this what it has come to? Any fee mentioned?
-
Can't see the Fat One moving so fast unless a deal was already in place in the event that Cole did sign.
-
Bollocks, that would leave Man U threadbare up front, can't see it.
-
But has anyone beat us to the signing of Harewood?
-
Such a typical fucking salesman. And I've yet to meet one I liked (when they're talking about work anyway).
-
Would you prefer some sand-monkey with no feel for the area coming over here and treating us as his plaything with his hundreds of millions of dirty oil money?
-
If FS feels he has received a good bid for Milner then Roeder's opinion won't mean shit.
-
I was just about to come up with the same conspiracy theory.
-
Aston Villa aren't our rivals. At the minute we've little chance of getting anywhere near Europe.
-
Watch him have a great season now. Stupid mistake unless we're getting big money, to sell him at this time for anything less than £5m would be foolish.
-
I'll agree with that though my main problem with the deal is that its only until Jan, not a full season and four months is obviously not long enough for Roeder to decide which striker to sign.
-
Possibly because we take too long fucking around before actually moving in for the kill.
-
Yup, we're getting a two-in-one. Gary Doherty. You heard it here first.
-
Maybe they appear to ber never ending as he didn't have the operation it was clear he needed over the summer break.

No one said it was going to burn off an awful lot of calories though, going for the Leazes/Straw Man approach eh? 187262 No, I'm saying that there is no such thing as negative calorie foods e.g. celery containing 6 calories but using up 7 calories to chew/digest. It is a myth, now I'll presume that you have no further questions or require any form of evidence to back up what I said so we can all agree that I am correct.

Roeder clearly hadn't made out a definitive shopping list, he wanted PL experience and we got Martins and the fact that he was still scouting Kuyt the day before he signed for Liverpool are two examples of why he clearly hasn't been prepared for this transfer window. 187230 So FFS gets a free pass once again. Perhaps, just perhaps, Roeder's strategy (or lack of it) were down to "instructions from above" - like hang on Glenn we're skint (and how did that happen??). Owen getting crocked threw a total spanner in the works and absolutely would have altered the strategy (I use the term loosely) if not blown it completely out of the water. Give it a month and we'll (metaphoric "we"- I won't) be baying for Roeders blood 187246 I'm not saying FS is blameless but Roeder hasn't appeared to be in any hurry over the summer to sign anyone. The majority of our shopping should have been done prior to pre-season starting, the WC was irrelevant IMO as a way of judging players' ability so Roeder should have had his list of top targets before the season even finished.

I'll see your http://ask.yahoo.com/20040107.html and raise you a http://www.ivillage.co.uk/dietandfitness/w..._551419,00.html At the end of the day I think we can agree that eating celery isn't going to burn off an awful lot of calories.

Were you? My major fear over Roeder taking over was the fact that we'd struggle in the transfer market. I was under the impression that Shearer was to be involved in getting players to sign, yet no mention of him at all this summer. Wonder why? I've got absolutely no faith in either Roeder or the fat man when it comes to things like this. 187218 Precisely... After all the good work he did last summer in getting the likes of Owen, Parker and Solano on board, plus the announcement of his postion of Sporting Ambassador , I thought that was a given... Are we paying him a wage? 187224 I think Shearer can be as involved at the club as he wants to be and at the present he doesn't want to be too involved. I've got no proof or owt, just how I see it. 187229 Not just you, the fact that Roeder has said he's allowed to "drop in" to training whenever he feels like shows that he pretty much has the run of the place and can come and go as he sees fit. Not exactly ideal for stability.

I think its been a case of Shepherd not wanting to be ripped off with expensive flops like he was with Souness and Roeder being over-cautious in deciding who he wants. Either way its a fucking mockery and both should be hung, drawn and quartered.
