If only he could find an end product himself.

Not sure you can comment. Can't even bring up toon fans. I'm working on it. TBF, one is hardcore Chelsea, two don't really care but support Chelsea cos the oldest does. The younger two will not escape.

Jacqui Oatley. The bint who caused uproar on MOTD cos people hated the sound of her voice. IT's. JUST. NOT. RIGHT. FACT!! oh, Harewood on Ranger off.
-
By all accounts she is experienced, a big fan and a qualified coach. She just lacks the natural male discriptive ability when it comes to football, and being a woman she seems to screech at moments of excitement.

Mank United losing. Ha Ha Ha.

Wish the ball did hit her on the fucking head. might get a decent commentator. silly tart.

Give it 10 then Guthrie off for Lovenkrands if we don't improve.
-
Keep the faith people. Still 45 to go, and QPR are not a bad team. You can guarantee we'll chuck in a couple more shitty performances before the season is out, even if we end up winning the league.

Guthrie should be back. Only had a one match ban.

I'm all for taking the game to the world and all but they've had one and the locals, generally, don't really give a fuck about the game which takes something away from the tournament imo. Yeah. just ask them a week before the tournament who they thinks going to win the world cup and the answer will be along the lines of: "I think the Yankees will do it, or maybe the Cardinals". I love American sports, but let's just leave them alone when it comes to kickfootsoccergoalball. 80% of the country have no interest and of those that do most don't actually get it. It's too simple and not enough 'points' are scored. Of course, there are a minority who know better. -
I'm planning on coming up to the Donny game at the end of October and, as it's been a while since I've seen a game at SJP, I was wondering what part of the ground is considered the best for atmosphere. I don't really want to sit in the quiet area so want to make sure I buy seats in an area with plenty of singing! What do any SJP regulars think?

Although I can agree that there is a long way to go I can see where GL is coming from. We have got premiership quality in the team and with the right management and some passion/belief from the players we should be finishing above teams like Hull, Wolves, Birmingham, Burnley, Bolton and Portsmouth. We might not pull up trees but I certainly reckon we'd survive.

I don't know about that. In the second half they were really going hard at Everton and should have scored at least once. I reckon they just need time to gel as a team, although I think if it takes them much longer to pick up some points they could well be cut adrift and find it hard to catch up. Personally I do hope they stay in their rut as I backed them at 10/3 to go down before they sold Crouch and Distin, now best price 4/7.

I get ESPN with my Virgin Media package. The football on it is a bonus, but what really makes it worth it is the other two channels you get - ESPN Classic and ESPN America. I love most American sports so to get LIVE NBA, NFL, MBL and NHL as well as college sports and the magazine programmes is brilliant for me. You also get some great stuff 'not live', as they say, on classic. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

I look out for Udinese in Italy as that is where my Dad's family come from, or SV Hamburg in Germany as I saw agame there while on School Exchange when I was 14. I wouldn't say I have any real affection for either, just a passing interest. I watch a lot of my local non-league side - Hampton & Richmond Borough - but I struggle with the idea of supporting more than one team even if they are in different countries.

Peterborough United 2-0 Newcastle United (League Cup R3)

I thought Tim Krul was excellent last night. Him and Steven Taylor kept it respectable. The first penalty shout was as stonewall as you can get. The second, not so much but could easily have been given. Tozer, Donaldson and Vuckic did very little. Tavernier got better as the night went on but seemded to get caught out of position a lot and was nowhere to be seen for the second goal. Lovenkrands was anonymous and Guthrie was stupid to get himself sent off. Ranger struggled with no service and no support. Raylor looked ok in parts but was equally as guilty of giving away the ball cheaply as the rest of the team. LuaLua was doing ok and was unlucky to be taken off as he was at least putting some effort in. Smith and Nolan put in our first proper tackles after they came on, before that we lacked any real determination to do anything. All in all, a dissapointing night but credit to the fantastic support. How we managed to still clap the team off after the abysmal performance I'll never know but it goes to show that we have the best fans in the world. Hopefully the team will respond and do what's required at the weekend.
