  1. They get chemistry from being in the same league, my team is mainly centered around Manchester city, but about half the team are random premier league players. Still get 100 chemistry aslong as they all got the same formation.
  2. As my Sergeant used to say, if anyone comes we are just going to boil some coffee.
  3. Yet he is the one who stumbled this week!
  4. I have a stinky feeling he will play Løvenkrands.
  5. Terry almost looked like he was gonna cry, loving it.
  6. Hopefully Obertan did enough to warrant a lifetime on the bench there. Marveaux looks incredibly technical, his assist was very good. Our right side changed for next game please. Santon and Marveaux on there would be a big improvement. Great goal for Cabaye, delighted!
  7. We are so tentative, Obertans middle name is tentative in fact. Id rather have Routledge. Jonas really is starting to play like a very good winger though.
  8. I can see why he doesnt change it but that starting line up effectively lost against Spurs as he had to change it to get a point out the game. He will also change the 11 for the cup game mid-week so see no reason why he cant change the 11 despite the team being unbeaten. Its fair enough and probably the correct thing to do management wise but am desperate to see Ben Arfa start. Same, Ben Arfa and Santon starting would make it so much more enjoyable from the start for me. But I understand why he keeps the not-so-amazing players like Obertan and Simpson on the pitch.
  9. Loving this, hope they go down.
  10. I can honestly see Dalglish bidding something like 20 million for Jonas.
  11. I think we are just going to get whatever quality is available on the cheap. They'll be looking at all positions cept gk and midfield imo. Which is fair enough atm.
  12. Go on defenders, Steven Taylor is the 5th best in the league, Danny Simpson is 10th.
  13. I think Obertan is pretty shit, but then again I think every other signing we made this season has been pretty damn good. 1 flop out of 5 or whatever is a completely acceptable ratio. 3m and I would guess not a lot of money on wages. He's not THAT bad, completely acceptable player to have on the bench even if he doesnt improve, which he probably will considering he never got much first-team football at Manu. It will be interesting to see if he can improve, but I think he will be this years flop.
  14. He does have a serious case of squirrel-face.
  15. Im in Portugal atm, so I found a sports pub and walked in when there was about 20 min left of the scum game. 2 people were sitting in the back. Then the game starts, and the pub is absolutely packed and everyone is rooting for newcastle (there was 1 cunt who went YES when tottenham scored). Quite interesting considering we aren't supposedly a "big club" anymore. Anyway, really thought we played well against one of the better teams in the league. I think Tottenham is the favourite to get 4th this year, no matter how overrated Bale is. I thought we'd get overrun in the middle, but mostly Tiote destroyed them, even if Cabaye was a bit invisible. Think Tiote was better than he's been for a long time yesterday, did he misplace a pass? I couldnt believe it when he took Ba off for Shola, but it worked. Black superman. Also think Raylor deserves to be on the pitch rather than Simpson against Wigan, if he decides to play Santon (which he should). Really hoping we get to see Ben Arfa behind Ba soon, i think Ba is a clever enough player to work very well together with Ben Arfa.
  16. Well peter Løvenkrands scored twice for me when i beat manchester city so Its largely down to luck I would guess.
  17. He has all the attributes. If he can stay consistent the sky's the limit. We need to sign this guy on a long-term contract now.
  18. Tried ultimate team now and got mauled 6-2 by someone with a full bayern munich team stuck with in-forms. The twat must have bought about 500 packs. Somehow ricardo fuller didnt produce the good up front.
  19. I would like to see the ref stats today btw. He comfortably got pretty much everything wrong didnt he, for both sides. Actually quite hilarious considering we won.
  20. Reminded me of our performance against west-brom last year when we brought on Smith. Our bench was pretty much an array of unused subs who are perfect for coming on against a side who are vulnerable on the counter. Pardew probably thought he "owed" Løvenkrands some pitch time cos he got 2 against a championship side in the league cup (nodding in a close range header from a perfect cross, and scoring a penalty the goalie got a hand to). At the end of the day he was always going to be a "pacy" over the hill striker who would try to beat the offside trap for a 3rd and most probably fail. Guthrie was just getting some fresh legs on, which intentionally is fair enough. Still dont think this made our game much better. ur in the 89th minute, you have tired legs out there and Wolves are putting us to the sword. Surely this would be the time to make any sub to give whoever comes on the order to run around the pitch like an animal, or even just so the team can take a breath. Instead we are letting an exhausted Leon Best walk away from offside from a clearance in the 92nd. If Pardew had acted positively with his subs and given us some fresh legs with creativity (Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Sammy), or just some fresh legs in defense (Santon), I think our second half could have been easier. Hopefully he will see what he did wrong today and not be as complacent the next time we are up a few against a mediocre side. That said, Pardew deserves alot of credit for how fluid our team seems to be. We were comfortably better in the first half, just like we were against Villa and Blackburn, and our strike pairing seems to enjoy playing with eachother. We are only going to get better in my opinion. And its comforting to see us be the better side for the 3rd time in a row, regardless of whether we are away or home. I remember that one move in the 2nd half when Gutierrez was in a lot of space, Tiote played it to Raylor who one-touch passed it perfectly and suddenly we were dangerous. Both those passes were perfect, hard, accurate and the sort of thing u see when the team is enjoying playing their game as a unit. Both Ba and Best move the ball on quickly, letting our midfield create, when Shola is on he very often lets the opposition get their defence in position because he's so slow. Hopefully we can keep the likes of him and Løvenkrands away from the pitch completely in the future. Best had his best game this season for me. He was very, very good. And im not a fan of his at all. Krul was amazing, I always find it funny the amount of abuse he gets from the opposition fans for his majestic time wasting. Jonas obviously was also very good offensively today, he often is when he gets to play against slow and shit sides. If we can keep our players fit I think our team is better than it was last year, and we can have an outside shot at 7th.
  21. Got in from work right before jonas' goal, and what a goal! I like this ref, hes a bit dim but I dont mind
