Back from the airport now, was a great day out. Favourite moment apart from the goal was when Bent got it square in the face. Had a passionate xxl geordie next to me who kept screaming,and making the atmosphere. Id like to us drop a striker for a game to be honest, see how Ben Arfa fares behind. Cisse has looked a bit lazy lately so I'd bench him. Problem with having them 2 up top aswell, none of them are really quick enough to break through on the counter very often. Also it looks very much like they keep standing on top of each other, they seem reluctant to go out wide and help out receiving the ball at times. Would be nice to see an attacking 3 of Marveaux, Benny and Jonas interchanging positions. Also liked Vurnon on the fb position, he did seem a lot better going forward than Simpson does, and hasn't been that much of a presence in the middle as of yet, still think he will come good and be a very good player for us eventually. Thought Santon, Colo and Taylor were immense, and Bigi came on and did a lot better than I'd expect him to.

I think 6th. Could narrowly be anything from 4th to 8th though.

15m is a very good price for him imo, will be a good signing. If they get Lloris in too they seem to be doing the right things. I wonder how they will fit Dembele in. Sigurdsson and Vdv both like the advanced midfield role already. They seem to have those 3-4 players of higher quality on the bench that we lack though, was hoping they would fumble about a bit more after losing Modric.

Hi, well im bringing my brother along to see the Villa game, haven't been since we beat Preston in the championshit. Probably didn't really do much other than watch the match then, so got a couple of questions. Any nice atmospheric pubs with skyports you can recommend? We arrive on friday and were thinking about watching deadline day and having a few beers. We are staying like 20 mins away from the stadium i think. The stadium tour, website says its at 11, and 13:30 every day, can you just walk up there and pay someone? Says I can order on the internet but we'd rather not plan too far ahead. Any other tips on stuff to do would be appreciated, staying from Friday to Monday.

I think Simpson playing behind him, and 2 strikers playing very far ahead of him takes away lot of his chances to actually create something. He gets isolated a lot. for France when he had Debuchy pounding down the wing alongside him, he played a few delicious balls to him. Also when he destroyed Everton on his left side with Enrique behind him making runs, they looked incredibly dangerous. Very often now the choice is either take on 2-3 defenders, or pass it back to Simpson, who in turn will do something shit. We could really use Debuchy, or a similar attacking fullback for our attacking play I reckon. Would pay back his fee easily

You're right, Gosling has no business playing behind the striker. Obertan has his worst game for us so far, he just looks like he isn't bothered. Just walks and jogs around off the ball. Jogs and passes like he hasn't played football before, his decision-making is appaling. Haul him off already. Anita has been great for me, some very good passes, and he looks composed and clever. Him and Marveaux do not seem to have the players around them to create things with quick passes. That Campbell lad for Gosling and Amalfitano for Obertan would do me at HT.

I would still like to see how Jonas would do at a full-back position if noone comes in personally. Then again he can play basically any position well except CB and striker, and he is never injured. So i dont see this as much of a problem either way. I do agree that Marveaux and Hba in the same team looks tasty, but it will probably also make it very difficult for our fullbacks. At the end of the day I would rather bench a player who is offensively a little better, but cannot be relied upon to play too many games. Jonas will run his arse off for every single one.
