Are we all thinking Obertan is a good player cos he is a pacy player who got a goal in OT against a team pressuring forward now? I think Chelsea will be far too strong. Euro league we arent too far off though. All the 3 teams above us have better players on the bench but liverpool for example arent that much better in terms of the first eleven. Any of Liverpool or Arsenal could keep slipping imo. Who knows, Van Persie might get injured again, but so could Ba according to Tony Pulis. Will depend massively on how Cisse performs imo. If he starts scoring at once, together with Ba we could have an absolutely lethal partnership up top.

Obertan: Earths' gravity is no match for him.

His perfect situation wasnt it. Sprint in a forward line, shoot! -

Surely you can just stake out Obertans' gfs place? She is rumoured to have a great rack.- 10610 replies

CALLED IT. I cannot stop laughing. Blackburn must feel robbed. Perch is the new Makelele. That must be hard to take for a blackburn fan like, when Obertan gets a goal against you theres surely no hope

Need some pace on for a striker, Fergie please, or dare I say it, maybe Obertan?

dont really agree with Arfa off. Atleast we got a def mid on though.

I'd take Best off before Shola myself. Ive always thought they are a little more effective coming off the bench, like any player would be i suppose. But especially so with Best. I wouldnt have minded just starting the 1 of them, and then replacing after 60ish mins. Moot point now though as our senegalese friends will hopefully keep them away from the team.

He doesnt have many options to be fair to him. The players clearly dont look comfortable in this formation. Doesnt help that both Best and Ameobi are either standing still in offside, or walking back from it like some granny crossing the street. But yes, he doesnt seem to do very well when he gets it under pressure, tries to do too much all the time. He does look a threat though at least. He took one touch too many when he got our only half chance on the wing. Which is more than I can say for Best and Ameobi.

Fuck me we were shite, how on earth are we ahead? Hoilett is a cunt. Need to bring on Abeid imo, Pards will go with Perch which is fine. Get either a "striker" or Ben Arfa off. None have had any luck. Id prefer to take one of the strikers off, with Ben arfa playing behind him, at least then we might nick another. We need to bring on a midfielder and hold out for another 45 minutes, because offensively we are SHITE.

When Tiote got a red last year I believe the victim did say he didnt touch him. Didnt get it rescinded though, Nolan was fuming if I remember correctly.

Really negative about this, if Colo is out I think Blackburn could get it easy up top. Might put a bet on Blackburn to win by 3, should give fairly decent odds even though I feel like a judas.

January Transfer window 2012- Deadline Day Madness
nortoon replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
Happy enough with the window really. I can take a Perch once in a while if It keeps me from watching the Shola/Best strike partnership. Looks like we did the one "great value deal" that was there this window and took that opportunity, which im happy with. Short-term we will really struggle if Colo/Willo gets injured, but it seems we will always take that risk now rather than sign someone we have to overpay for. Be interesting to see if these Douglas or Mbiwa sagas rematerialise in the summer, I would probably have called them smokescreens if it wasnt for the Cisse signing. Which actually did show they can spend money on the right player. I think a lot of people underestimate him, he has been one of the hottest properties around, and 7.5m to 10m or whatever it is does look like a proper steal to me. Had we signed Erdinc or Maiga for about the same amount, it would not have excited me in the least same degree. There are quite a few very good freebies/player contracts running down in the summer, and im really excited to see what we can do then. While im still terrified of who we might get rid of. If I have to wait for 6months or a year for that defensive gap to be plugged with quality rather than a place-holder, it will probably be worth it in the long run to me. -

Djibril Cisse is the laziest player ive ever seen, made Shola look like a work-horse the few times i saw him for Sunderland. Cant wait to see how he reacts to a relegation dogfight. -

Fuck me I hate that El Abd fella.

Any fellow foreigners with a decent River for this? Im coming up empty atm.

Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Perch, Santon; Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Guthrie, Gutierrez; Best, Sh Ameobi. Perch in for colo, someone feel free to post pictures of different people screaming nooooooo.

Bet he'll be benched before their season is over. 2.5k more for us, at least we wont have to worry about him coming on in the 80th min and winning it for the opposition.

Tried googling when the window shuts, and failed. Is it at midnight the 31st even though there are matches that day? -

I feel sorry for Demba-Demba, but i am absolutely delighted!
-
Can't help but love that. Harry loses, and Balotelli has his arrogant arms up before its in the net.
-
Demba-Demba on for the current "striking partnership", and we would have finished it the first half. I really like the system with Jonas running all over the place in front of Guthrie and Cabaye. The high line was a mistake though, besides us playing like shit and losing all the 50/50s in the 2nd half. As i had taped it im ashamed to say I started fast-forwarding after 3-1. That fucking Duffs face when they score makes me rage. Nice goal from Ben Arfa though, nice to see him deliver again. Still optimistic for the season, we should pick up ALOT of points when our africans are back. Need to pay off some african referees I think, Mason might fancy a side-job.
