  1. First of all I would have used my DB account if it hadnt been blocked by the mods on the last day of last season (surprise, surprise). Secondly all I did comeback for was to pay respects. Thirdly, my comments in this thread, whilst probably ill advised certainly don't warrant the reaction. Dont use a legend as a stick to beat someone with.
  2. A bigger issue than your best player leaving you to sign for us? Couldn't care less? Do me a favour If you've been reading the board, you'd know people have long been resigned to Bassong leaving whether Ashley stays or we have new ownership. So do us a favour. Totally unsurprised to see you slink back on here under the guise of mourning SBR - it was just a question of when you'd show up, not whether. What I said about SBR was totally genuine, I hold him in the highest regard. Just dont talk rubbish, it would hurt as much as if roles were reversed. We've all believed for a long time that Bassong will go. However if you think we're bothered about his destination you're very much mistaken - we have far bigger issues to deal with. Really? More important than the sale of your best player? To be honest most clubs lose their best players when they get relegated, it's an expectation. However not many clubs are in the position to refuse bids more than 20 times what they paid for the player. It could be Spurs or the Jamaican Bob Sleigh team mate, we couldn't give a fuck. If he's going he's going, he has no major connection to the club as it is so don't flatter yourself you gin soaked cockney gimp. You're right, you obviously don't give a fuck. My mistake. More of a comment on the man than the situation. How deluded are you? Seriously... Denial. Turns out it isn't just a river in Egypt.

  4. Just discussing an issue that affects both our clubs. Is that so offensive to you?

  7. Yanks for you. What's sad is it's probably on account of Beckham that they didn't. Why would they though? Newcastle players wouldn't wear an armband if a foreign football legend died, would they? Not many like Bobby though are there? Pele or Maradonna, SAF, all are known throughout the world. I'm not so sure. I certainly wouldnt want spurs wearing black armbands if maradonna carked it Despite the fact he played for your boys? That was great but I will never get past what he did during that world cup. Greatest footballer I have ever seen live, cunt of a man.

  11. Didn't expect you to like it Danny.. Far better than our away effort though True and all of our kits. Still rank though, seems to be the trend for kits this season.
  12. What do you guys think of Bassong? He seemed a touch accident prone to me last season and was lucky not to give away more pens.
  13. Phew, thought it may have been true for a minute. Levy is in the US at the moment anyway. Doubt there is anything to this.
  14. Fuckin ell, no way is he worth that. 6mil tops. What are we doing?
  15. Most of the people I have spoke to today have expressed their sadness / anger that he died whilst the club he loved was in such a state.
  16. Even the special one realises who made the special one.......special.
  17. Spurs fan and ex board member here. Just want to say that there are days that affect all football fans that make us rise above petty rivalries. Today is one of them. There isn't a football fan out there today that isn't mourning one of football's great men, not one who deep down didn't feel affection for a man who didn't have a bad bone in his body. His enthusiasm for for the game was only ever matched by football fan’s enthusiasm for him. What really impresses me was his total inability to feel fear. Every challenge was met by determination and every set back by a willingness to learn from his mistakes. He strolled round Europe as if it was his backyard picking up trophies, a change of lifestyle was not even a consideration for him. This was demonstrated in his later struggles. No matter what he was going through, he conducted himself with dignity and kindness and humour. Bobby didn’t get defeated by cancer, he won, life just called full time on the game. RIP Sir Bobby. “Maybe not goodbye, but farewell.”
