  1. UCLAN is full of dick heads. So is Manchester... while we're at sweeping generalisations eh! Oi !
  2. University of Central Lancashire my good man. Based in sunny Preston. Preston is a shit hole But a canny night out, nonetheless
  3. Personally I've never claimed the Toon have the best fans in the world (although at Villa park in May I might have said so) And I don't think you can really call it fickle. When faced with the monstrosity of Ashley's regime, and the seemingly unending downward spiral of the club, what means of expressing their unhappiness do the fans have, besides ticket sales?
  4. They wont have a choice if the ref calls it off for player safety. I know Just hope if they are gonna call it off they do it before 8am tomorrow when I've gotta leave home to get there
  5. You'd be better off just becoming a member unless money's no object because the prices for a ST will be the same as last year in the Prem. I'm a member already Cheapest season ticket is I think £390, which I can cope with. And I have friends in the Toon who'll probably take the home games off me, which should cover most of the cost. I'll probably wait and see how it goes for the first couple of games though Entirely up to you mate but people (including myself on occasion) struggled to give their tickets away last season and in the season or two before that at least so I wouldn't count on recouping your outlay that way. Yeah I wouldn't be counting on selling on the home games. I can stand the cost anyway if needs be. I don't like the idea of putting unnecessary cash in Fat Mike's pocket though

  7. The word from the Darlo groundsman as at 10.15 this morning is that the game is likely to go ahead. They have sold so many tickets that they don't care if it ruins the pitch
  8. I live in Manchester so don't go to many home games anyway I'm toying with the idea of buying a season ticket this year though, just so I'm in with a shout for away tickets. With the smaller allocations likely at Championship grounds I think a lot more games may sell out before the members or public get a look in
  9. WTF ? Someone remind me how many goals he's scored?
  10. It's looking likely, been absolutley lashing down since 5 this morning and showing no signs of stopping. My mate is calling the Darlo groundsman as we speak. If there's news I'll post it here
  11. Happily I'd only put down a £2k deposit on my wedding when the bitch dumped me Mind you, she also kept the £3k engagement ring Fucking Irish bitch
  12. Hit and miss inevitably, but some of the hits were fabulous The Paula Abdul scene was awesome
  13. They serve Steer in Manchester? Where where where? Gaucho Grill
  14. It's one of those new stadiums out of town A mate of mine works there so my tickets are free
  15. I used to live next door to Blackfriars in 1995, I only really remember it being a kind of glorified tea room in those days. Always thought it had fabulous potential though. I'm a bit out of date on restaurants in the Toon these days, but if anyone wants a steer on where to go to eat in Manchester, I'm your man
  16. I'd imagine so It has a 20,000 capacity and the most Darlo ever get is 2 or 3
  17. Anyone going? I have seats just behind the dugouts Hope Barton's on the bench so I can chat to him
  18. I'm just enjoying the distress of all the filthy dirty reds I work with
  19. No they're not. We now have Barclays dictating whether we can or cant appoint a manager. That doesnt happen when you owe yourself. Yes, there is the overdraft of course. I was talking more about the structural debt, which will now have to be accounted for in any share sale - anyone buying Ashleys shares is going to value them on a net-of-debt basis (which he would have done if he'd bothered to do any due diligence) Can you explain that in layman's terms? When valuing the shares the buyer is going to ask what is the net value of the club - ie, assets = x, less debts = y, total value of the shares = 3 shillings ha'penny

  21. In one respect we are better off than we were, in that the debt and equity are now together. Under FFS we were heading for administration because the shareholders couldn't/wouldn't service the debt. That won't happen now because Ashley owns the debt himself, and it'll have to be wrapped up in the sale (if the clueless fuck ever gets a sale away)
