92-93 and the year after I didn't do too bad then I met wor lass. Then a couple of years later came shift work and it went downhill from there.

Closest I came was 89-90 season which ended horribly. (I was in the last year of school so mid week aways were out but travel and tickets were a lot more reasonably priced and I wasn't a spoiled bastard so was helped out by my folks).

The price of most things have sky rocketed way above inflation this last decade and more but wages have not. In ten years time my income which is stretched is going to have cope with a daughter who'll hopefully be at university with another three years behind her. My wages will not be rising in line with everything else and have not for years already. You don't have to be fucking Carol Vorderman, (Still would, no danger as it happens), to work out you'll be worse off.

Went to see Whitney Houston a couple of years back with the Wife as her friend 'conveniently' had to pull out leaving her with an expensive spare ticket. She's always liked and wanted to see her even though she wasn't at her best anymore. (Worse now!) Couldn't believe how expensive the tickets were and she bought a programme for fucking £25!!! The drinks were dear as well. As I reckoned what I spent the following day I was sobbing like a broken man.
