The Road To Amsterdam ArenA (UEFA Europa League 2013) - THE END
Howmanheyman replied to Aeris's topic in Newcastle Forum
Ok, I was blotto last night, but seriously, a lot of our support need to let their hair down and get a bit vocal. It's allowed. You wont get thrown out for shouting some encouragement. Remember when our keeper could throw a ball out to the full back and half the crowd would shout out 'Go on!' When did everyone go all shy and coy or maybe some just haven't got a clue or maybe a bit of both? -

I was sitting not standing as is the way. Didn't stop me being emotionally invested in the game. -

The lack of passion, of actually giving a fuck was palpable for me. I'd liken it to the game against Roma at a similar stage a few years ago. Then there was hunger, tonight there was fuck all. Please dont get me wrong, I'm over the moon we won and would love to stick it up a media who see us as a distinct 'other' in this competition. -

In the sense that when a chance came to give some vocal encouragement, (not just the odd 'Shoes off etc), when a throw in, a free kick etc, there was not a 'c'mon United' 'ha'way the lads' or a 'fucking get into the bastards' shout just a sitting on your hands saying fuck all approach. -

Sorry, Chez, I'll bow to your knowledge in certain matters but the crowd tonight on the whole were a fucking disgrace. -

I was at the game tonight. Decent turn out in numbers but if half the numbers have one iota of a clue about this great football club I'll be amazed. My biggest pride in my club was the support it generated from it's working class surroundings. I'm pleased I really am but my pride in my club is civic and historical. There are people in the stands who have replaced a far superior breed in my humble opinion. -

I don't think these are any great shakes outside of Russia but no away goals makes it that bit harder. Hoping we'll win and half expecting to but like Columbo there's just something bothering me about this one. -
I've got to say, I can't believe they've overlooked Paisley again.

She had a nice pair of tits to be fair. (Just to take some attention away from CT's political wumming, don't you know).

Some of Wifes facebook friends ranting and raving over this 'Kingdom' place in the town. We were in town today so as I'm at the match tonight I said I'd take her even though I'm not too keen on buffets and I wasn't starving, (lets face it, you have to be very hungry or just be a greedy bastard to get anything out of a buffet). Anyway, I was sold this as it's meant to be a food of the World place which swung it for me. What a load of shite! 75% of it was Chinese and it was £9.50 just for dinner time! £14.99 on an evening!! For a bog standard Chinese buffet with a couple of token efforts from elsewhere! Then after paying by card you get to your table you're told to go to the bar for drinks which I did, I get a pint and a coke for her and am told I have to spend more than a fiver!!!! I told the kid I'd just spent nineteen fucking pound less than five minutes ago so he got my drift and gave me my drinks. If your lass tells you such and such off facebook reckons 'Kingdom' is fab and you should go, tell her she can go there with such and such instead.

Most female posters spend at least half of their time in General chat if not more. Aeris doesn't. Just wondering how many other twenty something females in Norway go onto MB's to tell everyone how much they can't stand Alan Pardew?

They were only just opening it section by section as it wasn't open about dinner time when I looked. I'm up in L7 in the corner bit where the away fans normally are. The club should've opened it a bit sooner but I think they've been waiting for a lot of the odd scattered single seats to go first which is penny pinching and putting groups of people off. Anyway, probably nit picking by me. -
I've noticed a quite a few pisstakes and digs at Liverpool on here by quite a few which is fair enough as they have many irritating players/manager etc. They also have a disproportionate amount of ex-players sticking up for them in the media and have many Glory hunters who tagged along when they dominated football. What's that got to do with thread? Well it seems to me that apart from the aforementioned reasons, Newcastle United and our support have nothing at all to do with Liverpool so I wonder at the posters that bring them up fairly regularly but then have digs at a supposed Newcastle United supporter for having many (too many!) pops at Sunderland. Last time I looked Sunderland were the traditional rivals of NUFC and many of the supporters of both clubs (who aren't OOTers) come into contact with each other and would wind each other up. It seems more normal to me that if a supporter was going to be hung up about another club he'd choose that club to be his clubs rivals? I'll personally NEVER get wound up about any other game as I would the derby unless there was something important riding on it, i.e. a cup final/semi final etc. Maybe Essembee is a mackem plant. Or maybe he just loathes them and perhaps lives/works in enemy territory? Just saying.

The Mackems have just taken the lead 'against the run of play' at QPR.

You jammy bastard! Enjoy your break, I hope everything goes ok with the baby but before you learn how to surf you could maybe do with learning to say 'holiday' rather than 'vacation'. Please, no need for thanks. -
I've said it before, It's Brian Blessed's Grandson. That's an audition pic for his college. He's in for the role of Zeus in their amateur production musical version of 'Jason and the Argonauts'. Good luck, Shaun!

Was it Bob Moncur or Joe Harvey who once said 'we're daft enough to win the bloody thing' when nobody fancied us? Think it was our Captain personally. I'd fucking LOVE to ram it down the necks of those describing us as England's third team in the Europa cup. (That's up one place since media darlings Liverpool failed to read the script). Good post by Stevie, by the way. -
No wonder someone likes him if he's a bit of a fanny.

Well that's twice I've seen this kid and he doesn't seem out of his depth at all. I hope he keeps at it as I'm impressed so far. -
Well done that man!
-
Marveaux reminds me of Christian Bassedas in as much as he has a decent touch but the game always passes him by.

You need to start wiping by sitting then finish off by standing. What's wrong with you freaks?
