Pardew might well have done better with a more 'home grown' squad than the squad he has here now. If the masterplan is getting cheap players from abroad with a hunger (to move on to better things with and after us) then maybe they need to work out if Pardew is suited to his new 'foreign correspondent' role?

No, not really but carry on anyway.

We're not anywhere near being a unit on the pitch and it shows. Hope to Christ there's a plan this summer as things staying as is doesn't bare thinking about. The lack of an option at times or three men playing passy within 10 yards of each other near the touchline is doing my nut in. And please, in the name of Began, can we just for once, whip a Fucking set piece in the box instead of the floated pass?

Our fucking set pieces, man!

Ashley's £1m givaway to non-players
Howmanheyman replied to essembeeofsunderland's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think you do understand the point, Chez. Why the need to publicise the gesture? Just smells of 'whatta guy Mike is', saviour etc, 'Likes to give to charidee, doesn't like to talk about it'. If it came out in the wash after a win you could say fair play to him, now he's a few people sweating on a result and he can't lose. Comes off and it pays for itself, we get beat, 'Not my fault, boys!' -
Ashley's £1m givaway to non-players

Gary Neville knocking the nail on the head saying nobody should've heard about Ashley's stunt until after the event. Let's hope the elderly tea Lady's heart doesn't give out if we're winning with minutes to go. Or let's hope he has the heart to give them a nice little bonus regardless of what the players do or don't do. -
It isn't even just Man Utd. When Poll sent Parlour off you never heard the end of it all over the media, there was hell on and I don't think he reffed them for well over a year. Oh aye, they got beat 3-1 off us who also had a player, (Bellamy), sent off. Bellamy's red was rescinded later on and Terry Henry spat his dummy out much to Sir Bobby's disgust. Not that long after we had an appalling decision go against us at Goodison when Bernard was scythed down by Graveson in a very similar way to the mcmanaman incident. What made it worse is we were still in with a shout of the title and they scored straight from the 'tackle'. Can't remember who the ref was, might even have been Poll again but he reffed us about a month later and there was no media hoo-hah whatsoever. I'm afraid it's 'those who shout loudest' with sympathetic friends to hear them and report it ad nauseaum and an FA/Refs association with balls the sizes of garden peas that are to blame. I'm surprised anyone's surprised. It's happened for years.

Never in a million years a great.

You missed the pitch invasion? It took no little skill to get up and over those fences especially at the angle they were at. Fair play to the lads who managed it!

Seen this on ebay, It's a pity umbro didn't do something similar for us when they could've. If you were a Man City fan why would you buy a current replica shirt when you could have this? (With their 'proper' crest as well instead of the new one with the fakey 'stars' on it)

Aye never forget. It's about jumpers for goalposts, the smell of grass in your nostrils, small boys with fair hair and an Irish accent whipping killer balls in from out wide, lovely isn't it?

I'd like a win then a night with winona ryder at some plush Tyneside apartment.

Is Gremlin more 'seaburn casual' than 'Gremlin'? Does he like his pop azul? Does he like dairy product on his chips? Is he Banshee in disguise?- 10610 replies

I've never left early on my own, (although I did leave when I took my 7 year old for her first match). Unless you had a good reason I can't see the point and if you're getting stuffed it just shows the club up when the camera shows thousands of fans streaming out, besides, a good whopping is character building and makes you appreciate and take great delight in a revenge win.

Good job CT wasn't around back then.

I thought Benny was a quality player at the time, Bradshaw looked like he had jaundice and played like it.

He gets results.

Neilson! Hats off, LTB. Knew it wasn't Appleby but couldn't think which one it was.

I've never been as pro-rafa until this season even including his Valencia days!
