I know where PLs coming from, Sir Bobby was looking to the future as he recognised that a good side couldn't carry a striker who was past his best. Souness and Shepherd just wanted Alan to go for Milburn's record to take peoples mind off the increasing dross that was happening on the pitch. He was indulged and this wouldn't have been the case had he been at a real top club. He's a NUFC icon but isn't one of my personal favourites as it happens. Doesn't mean I never cheered the bloke though!

I've said it before but I just wish these foul cunts had just one or two moments of self awareness or a flicker of humanity before they commit these acts and either seek help or just top themselves and save people unimaginable pain and grief.

CT thought he was very similar to Rob Lee on his debut.

10% thought Cabaye was our best player last season?

Materialism: The "What have you bought?" Thread

Tutti Frutti BBC series I watched once years ago on DVD for £6. Just watched five of six episodes and it's money well spent. -
Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool
Howmanheyman replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd have him back but it's too much to pay for someone who I think is going to be/is an injury prone player. -
Mark Hughes, (pictured), delighted to be new Stoke manager.

If Hughes goes to Stoke then I expect them to play about the same but with added bad snidey tackles to their game just the man himself used to partake in.

".....Newcastle score four and that is their average for the season so far....." Sigh. We'll never see those days again.

The Pompey game of 1992 is the most emotional and nerve wracking I've been to. When they say 'pandemonium' to describe a winner they can put this game as a reference.

The Charlton v Mackem play off was good as was Readings a couple of years later, was going to mention the Liverpool v Everton 4-4 cup game but Stevie beat me to it, I thought their games were generally shite and completely overplayed by both BBC/ITV so it was a surprise as well as a canny game.

Jaqiue Santini (Spurs) Got most of the others and called 'Frank Clark' for Hiddenk as well!

Saw us beat Leicester 5-4 in a great come back then the next season went to Filbert Street to see another end to end game where they did us 5-4. Quinny scored a hat-trick in the defeat but another soon to be hero did the dirty and scored three for the Foxes. Who was he? As an aside, a friends dad drove us down for this game and he couldn't get parked in a tight space so he made us lift another car up and move it so he could get in.

It was a face saving way from Mike and Dekka of dropping the 'Sportsdirect Arena' shite which they were ridiculed for by everyone in the media, (our anger meant Jackshit), it was also a way to ingratiate an unpopular sponsor with the fans as them being our 'saviours' in giving us the name back. Just like the supposed deal where 'Wonga' have personally took on a crusade to give us the Gallowgate End back by removing the Sports Direct sign off the top of the stand. What if the roof just needed renewing with paint and they were quoted, (as an example), £30,000 to re-paint the roof grey then re-paint the Sports Direct sign or just £20,000 to paint it grey and not bother with the Sports Direct bit? They could just save a few quid and the sponsors get another easy win for their wonga.

I'd have thought the sight of a busty nurse would've increased your penis size? "Oh well, all the more crumpet for us real men" [/blackadder II]

I wouldn't fancy having Phelan at all. Don't think Brian Kidd did so well leaving Man Utd from memory, Phelan would've been a cones and bibs man being told his duties I'm pretty confident of that as you don't rule the roost like Fergie did for so long without being in total control. Comes across as a bit of a yes man for me and they're ten-a-penny as coaches.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Howmanheyman replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
"We'd like to fank Wonga for bringing Alan Pardew back to the fans. The Club could never afford to have a first class managah like Alan wiffout Wonga's sponsaship so we're planning a minutes applause in the 2,134 second of our first home game next season as a mark of respect to Wonga which is the same nambah as their current APR."- 10610 replies

I don't mind gays getting married in my church but they can fuck off if they're thinking of playing 'Steps' greatest hits' through the ceremony.

Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool
Howmanheyman replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
As an aside, I was at Ayresome Park when there was a minutes silence for Harvey as that was the first NUFC game after his passing on and there was quite a lot of chanting/singing through it from the Boro fans. I still can't stand the cunts all these years later. -
