Once upon a time people might tip binmen as they'd come up your path and grab a metal bin full of rubbish and carry it to the wagon. Now, if the plastic bin with wheels on isn't touching the street pavement they don't want to know, even if the bin is a couple of feet on the drive. My tip for them would be to wear full padding if I ever buy an airgun.

Don't know why, but this thread reminds me of a restaurant we went to a couple of years ago. Was superb and well to do. Anyway, after a lovely starter Garcon gave me a bowl of some kind of lemon ice stuff. I told him that I hadn't had my main course yet but he couldn't understand me. The Wife then explained to me what a lemon sorbet was and what it was supposed to do.
