We did the same! I told them Mam and Dad were a little bit short of money this year so don't look disappointed in front of your mam and stood in between the living room and dining room as they looked under the tree. There was a couple of presents there but most were on the settee. It took them long enough to look up through us and see the settee, mind. (bless them they never once flickered when then they thought they had nothing and I didn't plan at all for them to go to the tree!)

Made dinner and pudding, ate dinner and pudding. Am on Jack Daniels now watching Treasure Island the 2nd thing I've watched on tv all day. Girls were happy so I was happy. Didn't get to in-laws as I was busy in kitchen but did get to my folks house for a couple of hours after dinner. Hope everyones day went well and you're all kicking back chilled in whatever way gets you there.

Merry Christmas and may your god go with you. Six points from next two home games would be lovely, please Santa.

It's not just about affection for a club though is it? He's one of the main men and got to be enjoying himself then next minute he's Demba Surplus.
-
I just think it's a waste of a decent talent. One minute you're number one, well respected in the game, loved by a set of supporters and feared by opposing teams. Next you're a squad member not even getting on the bench and your own clubs fans don't care if you exist or not. I know what I'd prefer.

Seriously though, well done to CT for making a big effort and getting into the Christmas spirits and champion ale despite his poverty. God bless them, everyone.

I know that the club under Ashley asked to be away on Boxing day at the beginning of a season until recently so that explains the lack of home games under him.

Going to pop to Sainsbury's in Heaton soon. I'm not getting much but am not looking forward to it all the same.

As long as he doesn't get pulled off at half time and settles for an orange instead.

To be fair, Souness/Shepherd had blown any transfer money Roeder might've got if my memory serves me. I've got plenty of time for the bloke, served this club well enough as a player, steadied the ship and got Souness's side up to seventh which I doubt the bluffer would've managed that year. Heard Roeder on talksport not too long ago and he can't hide what he feels for Newcastle United.

My youngest is getting a keyboard. (Which has a 3.5mm jack for earphones.)

A couple of years ago when my two had been sent to bed on Christmas eve I waited about twenty minutes then tip toed in the hallway to see if I could hear if they were still awake which they were. I then played a YouTube clip on my phone of just bells jingling on a sleigh for about twenty seconds before fading then tip toed back in the living room. I could hear them loudly whispering about hearing Santa and it gave me a big cheesy grin all night and was great the next day when they brought it up.

I watched it live and the playacting, the whinging, the whining was pathetic and laughable. And that was just the Arsenal fans! Two very easy to dislike clubs, two sets of horrible players. P.s. Demba Ba not even on the bench. Not sure if he's injured? He's got to be having some regrets going there?

I've a feeling he'll do ok. He comes across a bit cocky though so hopefully not.

My top Christmas tip this year for males in or around Newcastle Upon Tyne is to pop into Hollisters in Eldon Square. I nipped in to get a couple of tops for daughter 2002 and the staff were very nice.

Just fuck right off. I've never once seen any of this sort of stuff you're supposed to see with the naked eye from earth. And you want me to gather my precious young daughters who may be having doubts about Santa's existence to see Santa's sleigh and just look at dull dark grey clouds and black sky? You cruel, sick twisted man!!!!! Grrrrrrrr.

"Fuck all to do with me, Chief!"

Very impressed with Everton even if their best players aren't theirs. Heard the media say Man u were only '8 points behind leaders' whilst we were only 'going well in 6th after another win'.

Have to say, if i had the money I'd love to hire a plane with a big banner of a smiling jimmy hill on one of their crunch home games.

They are what they are. They surely realise they're as good as down? The quid thing will be a roll of the dice to get a big crowd and hope mackem passion will manage to score a winner in some home games. I think they're doomed and that isn't just 'Mag' bias talking.
